• Homers in loss
Sosa went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a 6-2 loss to the Orioles on Saturday.

Advice: Sosa gave the Phillies an early 2-0 lead when he homered off Grayson Rodriguez in the second inning. Sosa hit .306 in May with three home runs, but he has gone just 8-for-37 with one long ball in June. According to Matt Gelb of The Athletic, Trea Turner's return is looming, which means Sosa will likely return to a bench role in the coming days. Rotowire.com 11 minutes ago

  • Rehab assignment starting
Polanco (hamstring) is playing in a rehab game Saturday at High-A Everett, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Advice: Polanco will remain at Everett for a few games before continuing his rehab at Triple-A Tacoma. The second baseman has been ramping up over the past week and is feeling good enough to begin playing games Saturday. Polanco is on track for a late June return after straining his right hamstring May 26. Rotowire.com 48 minutes ago

  • Colt Keith has four hits, HR in win
Colt Keith went 4-for-6 with a solo home run in a win over the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: Keith is now 6-for-9 in the first two games of the series. The home run was his third of the season and accounted for his 20th RBI. While those numbers aren’t anything to write home about, Keith has some legitimate power at the minor league level. After getting hot in May, Keith was banged up in a collision with his own teammate and went cold to start June, but perhaps his bat is heating back up again. Rotoworld 48 minutes ago

  • Jorge Polanco (hamstring) begins rehab assignment
Jorge Polanco (hamstring) will begin a minor league rehab assignment at High-A Everett on Saturday.

Advice: The 30-year-old second baseman is only expected to need a couple of games to get his timing back before he’s cleared to return to the Mariners’ lineup. Expect him back early next week, which will severely impact the playing time for Ryan Bliss, who has been filling in at second base over the past few weeks. Rotoworld Today, 4:30 pm

  • Edmundo Sosa goes yard in loss to Orioles
Edmundo Sosa went 1-for-4 with a solo homer against the Orioles on Saturday.

Advice: Sosa led off the second inning with a solo shot off Grayson Rodriguez for the second of two runs the Phillies would score on the day. The 28-year-old infielder is hitting a solid .280/.343/.512 with five homers, 24 runs scored, 19 RBI, and two steals across 138 plate appearances as he fills in for Trea Turner at shortstop. • Resumes playing field
Drury (hamstring) played second base in a rehab game with Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: This was Drury's fourth rehab game, but he had served as the designated hitter in each of the previous three contests. The veteran infielder is working his way back from a left hamstring injury that has kept him from competing for the Angels since May 8. Drury has gone 5-for-13 with three walks and an RBI in his rehab stint thus far and appears very close to rejoining the big-league club. Rotowire.com Today, 3:28 pm

  • Oneil Cruz (ankle) remains out of Pirates’ lineup
Oneil Cruz (ankle) remains out of the Pirates’ starting lineup for Saturday night’s showdown against the Rockies.

Advice: It’s the second straight game that the dynamic 25-year-old shortstop has missed at Coors Field due to a sore ankle. The encouraging sign is that is still hasn’t been placed on the injured list, so the Pirates still believe that it’s truly a day-to-day type of situation. Jared Triolo will once again start in his place and will bat eighth against Rockies’ southpaw Ty Blach. Rotoworld Today, 3:27 pm

  • On bench Saturday
Lopez is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The White Sox will turn to Danny Mendick at second base Saturday with southpaw Tommy Henry expected to pitch in bulk relief for Arizona. Lopez is batting .244 with a pair of RBI over 10 games in June. Rotowire.com Today, 3:15 pm
