• Giancarlo Stanton carries Yankees against Orioles
Giancarlo Stanton went 2-for-4 with a home run, walk, and four RBI against the Orioles on Wednesday.

Advice: Stanton single-handedly brought the Yankees back in this one. First, his three-run home run off Yennier Cano cut the Orioles’ lead to 5-4 and then his ninth inning single off Craig Kimbrel sent this game to extra innings. The homer was his 18th in what’s been a tremendous bounce back season for the aging power hitter. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:14 pm
  • Randy Arozarena swipes two bases as Rays top Twins
Randy Arozarena singled, doubled, walked, was hit by a pitch, scored a run and stole a pair of bases on Wednesday night, leading the Rays to a 3-2 victory over the Twins in 10 innings.

Advice: After striking out in his first at-bat on the night, Arozarena reached base in each of his final four plate appearances. He led off the fourth inning with a double, but the Rays couldn’t cash him in. He then singled and swiped second base with two outs in the sixth inning, but was left stranded there. He then led off the eighth inning with a walk but was stranded at third base. Arozarena was plunked leading off the 10th inning, he swiped second base and scored the go-ahead run on a throwing error by Royce Lewis. With his two-hit attack, the 29-year-old outfielder is now hitting .185/.299/.345 to go along with 10 homers, 25 RBI and nine stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:03 pm
  • Leody Taveras plays hero with pinch-hit home run
Leody Taveras went 1-for-1 with a go-ahead two-run homer in the Rangers’ 5-3 win over the Mets on Wednesday.

Advice: Taveras was given the night off Wednesday marred in a 3-for-53 slump since the start of June, but won the game for the Rangers with his home run. He’s still a regular in the lineup because of his defense despite a miserable season at the plate. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:54 pm
  • Jarren Duran homers, steals two bags
Jarren Duran went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI, and two stolen bases against the Blue Jays on Wednesday.

Advice: Duran’s long ball gave the Red Sox a lead and they wouldn’t let go as he continued his do-it-all season in this one. He’s pacing for about 15 homers, 40 steals, 100 runs scored, and 70 RBI in what would be a phenomenal year for the young outfielder. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:11 pm
  • Wilyer Abreu on track to return over weekend
Red Sox’ manager Alex Cora told reporters on Wednesday that Wilyer Abreu (ankle) is on track to rejoin the Red Sox over the weekend.

Advice: The 24-year-old will play the outfield on Wednesday evening at Triple-A Worcester and is expected to serve as their designated hitter on Thursday. The team hasn’t yet decided whether Abreu will return on Friday or Saturday, but as long as he makes it through the next two games unscathed, his return appears imminent. • Another multi-hit effort Tuesday
Andujar went 2-for-4 with an RBI infield single in a win over the Royals on Tuesday.

Advice: The hot-hitting veteran kept rolling Tuesday, authoring his fifth two-hit tally in the last nine games while recording his first RBI since June 1. Andujar hasn't provided much pop of late -- he counts a pair of doubles as his only extra-base hits in that aforementioned nine-game span -- but his .314/.326/.430 slash line across 89 plate appearances this season is essentially above reproach. • Hitless in first rehab game
Abreu (ankle) served as Triple-A Worcester's designated hitter and went 0-for-4 with a walk in his first rehab game Tuesday.

Advice: The Red Sox plan to have him play again for Worcester on Wednesday with the hope that he'll be ready to return from the 10-day injured list ahead of Friday's series against the Reds in Cincinnati, per Alex Speier of The Boston Globe. Abreu has been on the shelf since June 4 with a right ankle sprain. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:08 am

  • Clobbers three-run homer
Arozarena went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run during Tuesday's 7-6 loss to the Twins.

Advice: Arozarena went 32 days between homers, but has now launched two long balls in his last three games. On Tuesday, Arozarena tagged Pablo Lopez for a three-run home run in the first inning, plating Brandon Lowe and Isaac Paredes. The long ball was Arozarena's 10th of the season, but he's still batting .179 with a 25.5-percent strikeout rate. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:25 am
  • Makes impact in return
Smith served as the designated hitter and went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday's 7-6 loss to the Mets.

Advice: Smith returned to the starting lineup Tuesday after battling a hamstring issue since late last week. He was given a soft re-entry as the DH and could return to his normal duties as the fill-in third baseman for the injured Josh Jung (wrist). The surprisingly productive Smith has been a boon to the Rangers' offense which has missed Jung's bat. Smith is batting .298/.386/.451 with five homers, 16 doubles, one triple, 28 RBI and 34 runs scored over 249 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:09 am
