    • Emmanuel Clase earns 27th save
Emmanuel Clase allowed one run on one hit but secured the save in a 5-4 win over the Giants on Sunday.

Advice: Clase allowed a one-out double to Matt Chapman before Chapman advanced to third on a catcher’s interference and then scored on a groundout. Overall, it was a good appearance for Clase, who now has 27 saves to go along with a 0.85 ERA on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:53 pm
    • Birdsong can’t escape 5th inning in no decision
Hayden Birdsong allowed two runs on five hits in 4 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Guardians.

Advice: He struck out five and walked two on the day. Birdsong induced 13 whiffs on 44 swings for a 30 percent whiff rate and 27 percent CSW. The four-seamer was unable to get many whiffs and allowed a fair amount of hard contact, which put a good deal of stress on his off-speed pitches on Sunday. Still, he looked good apart from a tough start to the fourth inning and then an infield single and two-out walk which ended his day in the fifth inning. The rookie has been inconsistent so far in his MLB career and is a risky streamer next week against the Twins. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:43 pm
    • Carlos Carrasco fine in no decision
Carlos Carrasco allowed three runs on six hits in five innings in a no-decision against the Giants on Sunday.

Advice: The veteran struck out four and walked one, posting a 30 percent CSW. He didn’t miss many bats with nine whiffs on 43 swings, and he’s certainly a low-upside fantasy play, even against a struggling Rays offense next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:43 pm
    • Graham Ashcraft inefficient in loss
Graham Ashcraft was pulled after 4 2/3 innings on Sunday against the Tigers after allowing six hits and one earned run. He struck out two and walked three.

Advice: This was a classic Ashcraft start with a heap of foul balls, long counts, and traffic on the bases. Fascinatingly, he’s almost completely taken his sinker out of his repertoire since reentering the Reds’ rotation two weeks ago and threw just two total on Sunday. He has never been able to take the stop forward many hoped he would because he can’t find a way to add more pitches to his repertoire. Rather, it’s just non-stop cutters and sinkers which produce laborious starts like his on Sunday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:07 pm
    • Back from IL, starting Sunday
The Marlins reinstated Cabrera (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list, and he'll start Sunday's series finale versus the White Sox in Miami, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Advice: Cabrera will pick up his first start with the Marlins since May 7 after missing two months while recovering from a right shoulder impingement. Prior to being activated, Cabrera completed three rehab starts with Triple-A Jacksonville. Though he covered no more than four innings in any of those outings, he topped out at 67 pitches in his most recent rehab start this past Sunday, so he shouldn't face any major restrictions with his workload as he takes the hill for the big club. Cabrera went 1-2 with a 7.17 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 31:14 K:BB across 21.1 innings in five starts before landing on the IL. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:06 am
    • Edward Cabrera (shoulder) off 60-day IL
Marlins reinstated RHP Edward Cabrera off the 60-day injured list.

Advice: Cabrera is back to make a start Sunday against the White Sox. The 26-year-old has considerable talent, but just hasn’t been able to show it much over the last few years on a consistent basis. He’s certainly worth a look, especially against this White Sox lineup. Matt Andriese was designated for assignment to make room for Cabrera. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:06 am
    • Picks up fourth save
Green notched a save against the Mariners on Saturday, allowing one run on one hit while striking out two batters over 1.1 innings.

Advice: Green was deployed with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning and struck out Cal Raleigh to preserve a two-run Toronto lead. He returned in the ninth frame and worked around a one-out solo shot by Luke Raley to nail down the save. Green has two saves over the past four days and has allowed just three earned runs -- all on solo homers -- over 21 innings since the start of April. However, he could see fewer closing opportunities with Yimi Garcia nearing his return from an elbow injury. Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:26 pm
    • Collects save Saturday
Clase walked one and struck out none over a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Giants.

Advice: Clase has earned six saves and a win during his active nine-inning scoreless streak. He's added a 5:2 K:BB in that span. The closer is 26-for-29 in save chances this year with a 0.65 ERA, 0.63 WHIP and 39:5 K:BB across 41.1 innings. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:47 pm
    • Chad Green allows homer, still gets four-out save
Chad Green allowed a run over 1 1/3 innings to get a save Saturday against the Mariners.

Advice: Green came on to get the final out of the eighth while striking out notorious Blue Jay killer Cal Raleigh. He did allow a solo homer to Luke Raley, but it came with a 5-3 lead. Green has now saved four games, and he should remain the closer in full until Yimi Garcia (elbow) returns. He may keep that role even after Garcia is back if he keeps pitching well.
