    • On base three times Thursday
Chisholm went 1-for-4 with two walks, an RBI and a stolen base in Thursday's extra-innings loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: He was also caught stealing, giving the center fielder 15 steals in 23 attempts on the season. Chisholm had drawn just one free pass over his prior 13 games, so his display of patience was unexpected and not likely to be repeated any time soon. On the year, 26-year-old is slashing .259/.326/.416 through 84 contests with 10 homers, 37 runs and 40 RBI, and most importantly Chisholm has stayed healthy after missing 167 games across the last two seasons. • Allows one run in save
Fairbanks picked up the save over the Royals on Thursday, allowing one run on one hit over one inning while striking out one.

Advice: Fairbanks entered the contest with a three-run lead in the bottom of the ninth and retired the first two batters in succession before surrendering a solo homer to Bobby Witt. The right-hander was then able to get Vinnie Pasquantino to ground out for the final out of the game, securing his 14th save of the season. Fairbanks has now converted each of his last four save attempts, though he's also allowed a run in four of his last nine appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 4:20 am
    • Shaky in win
Eflin (5-5) picked up the win over the Royals on Thursday, allowing six runs (five earned) on seven hits and one walk over five innings while striking out three.

Advice: Eflin didn't have his best stuff Thursday, surrendering runs in four of the six innings in which he appeared, though the latter run would not be charged to him on account of a fielding error from Richie Palacios. Despite those struggles, the veteran right-hander was still able to secure his fifth win of the season and the fourth win in his last five decisions (spanning nine starts). Eflin has now gone at least five innings in five consecutive starts, though he's given up multiple runs in four of those outings, raising his ERA to 4.19 on the season. Rotowire.com Today, 4:03 am
    • Posts big offensive line Thursday
O'Neill went 3-for-5 with a double, a walk, a run, two RBI and two stolen bases in a 6-5 extra-innings win against Miami on Thursday.

Advice: O'Neill accounted for three of Boston's eight total hits to record his third consecutive multi-hit effort. He came up big in extra frames, recording an RBI single in the 11th inning and adding the game-winning RBI on a double in the 12th. O'Neill also collected two thefts in the contest after notching just one steal (on one attempt) over his first 60 games of the season. Swiping bags probably won't become a trend for the outfielder moving forward, though it's worth noting that he stole 29 combined bases across the 2021 and 2022 campaigns while with St. Louis. • Productive in win
Naylor went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in Thursday's 8-4 win over the White Sox.

Advice: In addition to his two hits, Naylor also got aboard on a fielder's choice and a catcher interference. The first baseman endured a 3-for-20 stretch over six games from June 22-28, but he's bounced back with a trio of multi-hit efforts over his last five contests. Overall, he's at a .243/.322/.497 slash line with 20 home runs, 63 RBI, 48 runs scored, 16 doubles and three stolen bases through 81 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:15 pm

    • Featured in blowout win
Jeffers went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, an RBI double, an RBI single and an additional run scored during Thursday's 12-3 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Although Thursday's contest was rained out after seven innings, Jeffers and the Twins' offense had no trouble putting up runs. Jeffers drove in four of those runs, highlighted by a two-run home run off Kenta Maeda in the fourth inning. Jeffers' roundtripper was his 15th of the year which is a career-high tally. The outing was also Jeffers' first multi-hit performance in 11 games and marked his second four-RBI game of 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:10 pm

    • Pete Fairbanks picks up 14th save Thursday vs. Royals
Peter Fairbanks gave up one run and picked up his 14th save of the season on Thursday against the Royals.

Advice: Fairbanks gave up a solo home run to Bobby Witt Jr. in a three-run game in the ninth inning, but still managed to hang on to preserve the win. Fairbanks has a 3.23 ERA on the season and just saved his ninth game since June 1. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:43 pm
    • Eflin picks up fifth win against Royals Thursday
Zach Eflin allowed six runs (five earned) in five innings and got the win in the Rays’ 10-8 victory over the Royals on Thursday.

Advice: Eflin gave up seven hits, walked one and struck out three. The win was his fifth of the season. The Royals started scoring with a Michael Massey solo home run in the second inning. Kansas City scored twice in the third inning on a Bobby Witt Jr. sacrifice fly and RBI single by Vinnie Pasquantino. Pasquantino had an RBI groundout in the fifth inning. The sixth inning started with a Richie Palacious error which allowed Michael Massey to reach and Hunter Renfroe chased Eflin with an RBI single. Renfroe ended up scoring later in the inning with the run charged to Eflin. This season has been a nightmare for Eflin drafters as he hasn’t come close to repeating the career year he had last year. The 30-year-old right-hander is set to face the Yankees on the road next week.

    • Picks up seventh win
King (7-5) picked up the win Thursday, allowing one run on four hits and two walks against the Rangers. He struck out five.

Advice: King held the Rangers scoreless through five, then was removed after allowing two batters to reach base with one out in the sixth, eventually resulting in one earned run against. It's the sixth time in his last eight starts that King has allowed one earned run or fewer and the 10th such outing this season. Over his last eight outings, King has tossed 44 innings with a 2.45 ERA and 53 strikeouts. His next opportunity to toe the rubber is scheduled to come at home against the Mariners next week.
