    • Josh Naylor hits eighth homer against Angels
Josh Naylor went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer against the Angels on Sunday.

Advice: That’s eight homers and 26 RBI in 32 games for Naylor. He’s fifth in the AL in both categories (tied for fifth in homers). Maybe he won’t keep up the home run pace, but he should boast exceptional RBI numbers throughout. Rotoworld Today, 1:21 pm

    • Idle against lefty
Naylor isn't in the Guardians' lineup Saturday against the Angels.

Advice: The left-handed Naylor will take a seat as fellow left-hander Reid Detmers starts on the hill for Los Angeles. David Fry will take over at first base and bat fourth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:28 pm

    • Swats three-run homer
Naylor went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 10-9 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Naylor launched his seventh home run of the campaign and scored multiple times for the second time this season. Even with Naylor's long ball, he's batting 3-for-22 (.136) over his last six games. However, he's added a pair of stolen bases and has struck out four times to three walks during that stretch. • Rhys Hoskins takes seat Sunday vs. Yankees
Rhys Hoskins is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Yankees.

Advice: Hoskins homered in Saturday’s blowout loss, and his reward is a day of rest against the Yankees on Sunday. Jake Bauers is hitting cleanup and playing first base in Hoskins’ absense. Rotoworld Sunday, 9:03 am

    • Heads to bench Sunday
Hoskins is out of the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Yankees.

Advice: Hoskins started the previous 15 games but will receive Sunday off after he posted a .799 OPS during that span. Gary Sanchez will bat fifth as Milwaukee's designated hitter in the series finale against New York. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:45 am

    • Rhys Hoskins homers, but Brewers routed by Yankees
Rhys Hoskins hit a solo homer in a blowout loss Saturday to the Yankees.

Advice: Hoskins homered in the first inning off Carlos Rodón to get the Brewers to within two runs at 3-1. The Brewers would only get one more hit off the left-hander and would end up losing by a dozen. Hoskins now has six homers, 18 RBI and a .781 OPS in his first month as a member of the Brew Crew. • Red Sox move Triston Casas to 60-day IL
Red Sox transferred 1B Triston Casas to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: The team needed to free up a spot on their 40-man roster for the addition of Garrett Cooper, and Casas made logical sense after it was reported that he’s dealing with torn cartilage in his ribs and could be sidelined for up to nine weeks. He won’t be eligible to return until the end of June. Rotoworld Saturday, 4:09 pm

    • Out until late June
The Red Sox transferred Casas (ribs) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day injured list Saturday.

Advice: Casas was diagnosed with a cartilage tear in his left ribcage Friday, and he won't be eligible to rejoin the Red Sox until at least June 21 as a result of his move to the 60-day IL. The Red Sox made the transaction to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Garrett Cooper, whom the team acquired from the Cubs on Saturday in exchange for cash considerations. Once he arrives in Boston, Cooper will likely take over as the team's everyday first baseman in Casas' stead. Whether Casas is able to return from the IL when first eligible in late June likely won't become clear until weeks down the road, when he could be ready to resume workouts. • Has torn cartilage in ribcage
Casas revealed Friday that he's dealing with torn cartilage in his left ribcage, not a fractured rib as had been previously reported, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

Advice: The injury is an unusual one and carries a wide range of potential recovery timelines, with Casas saying it could be anywhere from three to nine weeks before he's cleared for cardio and strengthening activities. Once that happens, he would presumably need a few more weeks before he's game-ready. Casas did add that he's very optimistic he'll be back at some point this season, it's just unclear when that might be. Bobby Dalbec is currently filling in at first base for the Red Sox.
