    • Handed first loss
Suarez (9-1) yielded five runs (four earned) on three hits and four walks over six innings Sunday, striking out nine and taking a loss against the Rockies.

Advice: Colorado pounced on Suarez early, plating two runs in the first inning and another three in the second. He was able to settle in for four shutout frames to finish the start, but the damage was already done. It was the first time this season he's issued more than two walks or allowed more than three runs. On a more positive note, Suarez generated a season-high 19 whiffs and improved his K:BB to 77:16 through 72 frames. He'll carry a 1.75 ERA into his next matchup, which is lined up to be at home against the Cardinals. Rotowire.com 49 minutes ago

    • Up to 55 pitches
Miller (shoulder) gave up three earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out four over three innings Sunday in his first rehab start for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga.

Advice: Miller's lack of effectiveness prevented him from building up much from the 51-pitch simulated game he logged Tuesday, as he threw only 55 pitches (38 strikes) in his first rehab start. It's unclear how many more rehab outings he will need, but Miller will certainly make at least one more start in the minors before rejoining the big-league rotation. • Ranger Suárez struggles with command in loss
Ranger Suárez allowed five runs (four earned) on three hits in six innings in a loss to the Rockies on Sunday.

Advice: Suárez struck out nine but also walked four and threw just 42 percent of pitches in the strike zone. He did rack up an impressive 39 percent whiff rate but he had just 12 called strikes on the day, compared to 19 whiffs. Given that this game was in Colorado, we can give Suárez a little bit of a pass; however, he might still be a solid sell-high candidate if a fantasy manager in your league values him as a top 20-25 starting pitcher the rest of the way. He’ll take a 1.75 ERA into a start against the Cardinals next week. Rotoworld Today, 3:24 pm

    • Bobby Miller goes 55 pitches in first rehab start
Bobby Miller (shoulder) threw 55 pitches over three innings in his first minor league rehab start at Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Sunday.

Advice: All that really matters is that the right-hander made it through the start healthy and feeling good. The 25-year-old hurler did allow three runs on four hits and a pair of walks in the ballgame while punching out four. He generated 12 swings and misses on the afternoon. He’s likely to need at least two additional rehab starts before he’s ready to return to the Dodgers’ rotation. Rotoworld Today, 3:11 pm

    • Escapes with no-decision Friday
Harrison came away with a no-decision in Friday's 8-7 comeback win over the Mets, giving up five runs (four earned) on six hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out six.

Advice: The rookie southpaw got hit hard, serving up loud homers to J.D. Martinez and Mark Vientos in the fifth inning, and Harrison left the mound with the Giants down 5-2 before they once again rallied, becoming only the fourth team since 1900 to win three straight games that it had been trailing by at least four runs. Harrison has pitched into the sixth inning only once in his last five starts, and curiously the exception came at Coors Field. He'll take a 3.90 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 55:21 K:BB through 60 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Phillies. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:19 am

    • Earns quality start in loss
Gallen (5-4) allowed three runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out five over seven innings to take the loss versus the Marlins on Friday.

Advice: Gallen produced his longest outing of the season and his fourth straight quality start, but the Diamondbacks' offense couldn't get anything going as Miami starter Braxton Garrett tossed a shutout. Gallen has permitted more than three runs just once in 10 starts this season, pitching to a 3.12 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 60:15 K:BB over 57.2 innings. He's projected to make his next start on the road versus the Rangers. Rotowire.com Friday, 9:21 pm

    • Gallen goes seven strong, but picks up loss
Zac Gallen went seven innings while allowing three runs Friday against the Marlins while picking up a loss.

Advice: Gallen allowed a two-run single in the second, and a solo homer to Jake Burger in the fourth. After that — and in-between — the right-hander was effective while walking just one and striking out five. He still picks up a loss with Arizona being dominated by Braxton Garrett while he was in the contest. Gallen takes a 3.12 ERA into a scheduled start against the Mets on Thursday. • Kyle Harrison shaky in no-decision
Kyle Harrison allowed four earned runs across five innings on Friday against the Mets. He struck out six and walked two.

Advice: Harrison’s fastball was all over the place in this one and even hit Brandon Nimmo in the c-flap of his helmet. He still managed a fine outing despite plenty of traffic by the Mets and back-to-back home runs by J.D. Martinez and Mark Vientos. Harrison will take a 3.90 ERA into his next start against the streaking Phillies. Rotoworld Friday, 7:24 pm

    • Falls to Yankees
Castillo (4-6) took the loss Thursday against the Yankees, allowing two runs on seven hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Castillo dealt with traffic for most of his outing, but he ultimately held New York to a pair of solo home runs. The loss snapped a stretch of seven straight quality starts for Castillo -- he'd posted a 2.01 ERA in that span. Overall, his ERA sits at 3.31 this season with a 1.21 WHIP and 69:18 K:BB over 65.1 innings. Castillo's currently lined up for a home matchup with the Astros in his next start.
