      Gunnar Henderson, who had led off for the Orioles every game this season, is in the cleanup spot for Wednesday’s game.

      Advice: It seems like this is a consequence of the struggling Cedric Mullins being dropped to the ninth spot today, and manager Brandon Hyde not wanting to stack lefties. Still, Henderson hits more like a No. 3 or No. 4 hitter than a leadoff man anyway; he’s sitting at .264/.339/.553 this year and .257/.331/.495 for his career. Jordan Westburg is leading off today. For the season, Betts is up to a .341/.440/.553 slash line with seven homers, 28 RBI, 35 runs scored, eight stolen bases, 11 doubles and two triples over 200 plate appearances.       Mookie Betts went 2-for-4 with a double as the Dodgers were shut out by the Padres on Sunday afternoon in San Diego.

      Advice: As a team, the Dodgers tallied just four hits in the contest, with Betts accounting for half of them on his own — including their lone extra-base knock. He smacked a one-out double off of Yu Darvish in the sixth inning but was left stranded there. He then singled off of Wandy Peralta with two outs in the eighth inning.       Advice: Henderson regained a share of the major-league lead with his 12th homer of the campaign, putting him in a tie with Atlanta's Marcell Ozuna and Houston's Kyle Tucker. While he's hit two homers over the last three games, Henderson has just three multi-hit efforts in May, a month that's seen him go 8-for-34 (.235) over nine contests. It's little to be concerned about considering how well he's played overall -- he has a .278/.355/.583 slash line with 27 RBI, 30 runs scored and six stolen bases over 38 games.       Advice: Henderson hit a solo blast of Ryne Nelson in the fifth inning. That’s the 12th homer for the second-year shortstop, and he’s driven in 27 runs over the Orioles’ first 37 games of the year.       Cubs placed INF Dansby Swanson on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to May 8, with a right knee sprain.

      Advice: Swanson sat out of Wednesday’s contest due to soreness in his knee, and now he’ll be out for at least an additional week while recovering. Fortunately, the Cubs also got good news on the injury front on Friday with Seiya Suzuki being activated from the injured list in a corresponding move.
