    • Nabs steal in return
Raley (lat) went 1-for-4 with a double and a stolen base in Friday's 5-4 win over the Angels.

Advice: Raley missed a game due to lat soreness, but it appears to be a minor issue. Prior to Friday, Raley went 1-for-19 over his previous seven contests while racking up 10 strikeouts in that span. He's been decent in 2024 with a .260/.297/.397 slash line, four home runs, five stolen bases, 12 RBI and 16 runs scored over 138 plate appearances. Raley is likely to continue working in a strong-side platoon role in left field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:56 pm

    • Perfect at plate Friday
France went 3-for-3 with a solo home run, a two-run double and a walk in Friday's 5-4 win over the Angels.

Advice: France ended up a triple shy of the cycle, but he hasn't legged out a three-bagger since 2022. The infielder went 14-for-39 (.359) with three homers and nine RBI over his last 12 games in May, making him one of the Mariners' hotter hitters. For the year, France has a .260/.325/.411 slash line, seven homers, 24 RBI, 18 runs scored and eight doubles over 55 contests while seeing a starting role at first base. • Bonjour: Ty France hits go-ahead homer vs. Angels
Ty France went 3-for-3 with three RBI including a go-ahead homer in the eighth to give the Mariners a 5-4 win against the Angels on Friday.

Advice: Bonjour. France drove in two runs with a double in the first, and then broke a 4-4 tie with a homer off Andrew Moore. The 29-year-old got off to a very mediocre start, but he’s swung the bat well enough as of late to improve his slash to .260/.325/.411 with seven homers and 24 RBI. Far from elite numbers, but France appears to be figuring things out as of late. Worth a look for those in need at a corner-infield spot. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:03 pm

    • Collects four hits and two RBI
Arraez went 4-for-5 with two RBI and three runs scored in Friday's victory over Kansas City.

Advice: Arraez was ever himself, lacing four singles for his fourth four-hit night with San Diego since joining them on May 4. Overall, it is the 27-year-old's fifth four-hit game of the season as he had one in Miami too. He also managed to collect his ninth and tenth RBI as a Padre with a two-run RBI knock in the eighth inning. Arraez sports a .342/.380/.413 slash line in 256 total plate appearances with 35 runs and 15 RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:17 pm

    • Homers again in win
Fry went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Friday's 7-1 win over the Nationals.

Advice: The homer was Fry's fourth in his last eight games. The 28-year-old has enjoyed a memorable May, going 23-for-60 (.383) with seven homers and 18 RBI over 21 contests for the month. He's slashing .352/.485/.629 with eight homers, 27 RBI, 27 runs scored and four stolen bases over 40 games this season. Fry offers a right-handed option at multiple positions, though he's unlikely to be needed in left field as much with Steven Kwan back from a hamstring injury. Fry's bat has been hot enough to force a few tough decisions into manager Stephen Vogt's lineup choices moving forward. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:16 pm

    • Luis Arraez collects four hits, scores three times
Luis Arraez finished 4-for-5 with two RBI and three runs scored as the Padres topped the Royals 11-8 on Friday.

Advice: The Padres had just two extra-base hits, both of which were doubles, and two walks tonight, but they collected 16 singles and went an incredible 11-for-18 with RISP. Arraez is now hitting .398 in 24 games for the Padres after coming in at .299 in 33 games for the Marlins. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:00 pm

    • Released by Mets
The Mets released Choi on Friday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Choi had a June 1 opt-out in his minor-league deal with the Mets, but he'll hit the open market a day early. The 33-year-old slashed .183/.307/.317 across 101 plate appearances at Triple-A Syracuse and will likely look to sign a minor-league deal elsewhere. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:18 pm

    • Mark Canha undergoes additional testing on hip
Tigers manager A.J. Hinch told reporters after Friday’s loss to the Red Sox that Mark Canha underwent additional testing on his injured left hip.

Advice: Canha was a late scratch from Friday’s lineup with the hip issue — which apparently has been bothering him for some time now and finally told the Tigers that he couldn’t play through it any longer. We’ll wait and see what the test results yield, but there’s a chance that the 35-year-old outfielder may wind up on the injured list. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:10 pm

    • Seth Brown strikes out four times in loss
Seth Brown struck out all four times he was up in Friday’s loss to the Braves.

Advice: It’s probably about time for the A’s to give up on Brown. He was a solid role player in 2021 and ’22, but his slugging fell off last year, and his exit velocity numbers have really slipped while he’s hit .201/.242/.329 this season. Lawrence Butler seems like a better option in his spot. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:25 pm
