    • Nearing mound work
Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Wednesday that Rodriguez will likely begin throwing off a mound within the next week after the latest imaging on his left shoulder showed "almost 100 percent healing," Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.

Advice: Rodriguez has been out all season with a left shoulder strain, having hit a roadblock in April when he experienced renewed tightness. He's trending in a positive direction now, although he'll require a lengthy ramp-up period upon resuming mound work. Rotowire.com 36 minutes ago

    • Eduardo Rodriguez (lat) gets good news after MRI
Eduardo Rodriguez’s MRI over the weekend came back as hoped, and he could throw off a mound next week.

Advice: Rodriguez has been sidelined since the spring with a lat strain. The best-case scenario at this point is probably for a return shortly after the All-Star break. Rotoworld 40 minutes ago

    • Returns to action
Heim went 1-for-4 in Tuesday's 7-6 loss to the Mets.

Advice: Heim returned from a paternity leave Tuesday and was back in the lineup as the catcher. He's batting .235/.278/.341 with six home runs, 31 RBI, one steal and 22 runs scored over 241 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 5:37 am

    • Chased in fourth inning
Civale didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against Minnesota, allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks across 3.2 innings. He struck out five.

Advice: While Civale kept the Twins scoreless through three innings, he unraveled in the fourth. The 29-year-old surrendered a single, a walk and a pair of doubles to consecutive batters, all with two outs, before being replaced by Kevin Kelly. Tuesday's start marked Civale's first time failing to complete four innings this season, and he hasn't added a tally to the win column since April 9. In 76.1 innings of work, Civale owns a 5.42 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP with 79 strikeouts. He's tentatively scheduled for a road start against the Pirates to end his two-start week. • Breaks out of slump
Lowe went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an RBI single during Tuesday's 7-6 loss to the Twins.

Advice: Lowe has been slow to reacclimate at the plate following his IL stint in late May, entering Tuesday's game 2-for-24 with 12 strikeouts since being activated June 5. However, he showed signs of life against the Twins, launching his third home run of the season and generating his third multi-hit game in 24 appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 5:28 am

    • Aaron Civale gives up four runs in no-decision
Aaron Civale gave up four runs over 3 2/3 innings on Tuesday in a no-decision against the Twins.

Advice: Civale didn’t end up factoring into the decision as he was long gone before an extended rain delay ground this one to a halt. He managed to keep the ball in the yard, but still surrendered seven hits, and was unable to escape the fourth inning. He finished with five strikeouts and issued a pair of walks. He’ll bring a lackluster 5.42 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 79/22 K/BB ratio across 76 1/3 innings (15 starts) into a road matchup on Sunday against the Pirates. Rotoworld Today, 3:12 am
    • Logan Webb settles for no-decision against Cubs
Logan Webb allowed two runs over seven innings on Tuesday in a no-decision against the Cubs.

Advice: Webb coughed up a two-run homer to Dansby Swanson in the second inning on Tuesday evening at Wrigley Field, but managed to keep Chicago’s potent lineup off the scoreboard into the late stages of this one. He struck out five and only issued one walk. The 27-year-old righty has completed six frames in eight consecutive starts since May 10. He’ll bring a solid 2.99 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 82/21 K/BB ratio across 99 1/3 innings (16 starts) into a rematch on Monday against the Cubs back at Oracle Park. Rotoworld Today, 2:55 am

    • Delivers go-ahead blast
Hernandez went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 11-9 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Hernandez had gone six games without a homer after a stretch in which he went deep five times over five contests earlier in the month. He saved his best play for last Tuesday, putting the Dodgers ahead with a ninth-inning blast to complete the comeback win. The outfielder is up to 18 homers, 54 RBI, 41 runs scored, four stolen bases and a .255/.326/.503 slash line through 75 games this season. He's firmly on pace to top the 30-homer mark for just the second time in his career. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:29 pm
    • Heyward, Hernández fuel seven-run Dodgers comeback
Teoscar Hernández hit a three-run homer in the top of the ninth to propel the Dodgers to an 11-9 win over the Rockies on Tuesday.

Advice: The Dodgers also got a grand slam from Jason Heyward in scoring seven runs in the ninth. Hernández very well could have struck out to the game on the pitch prior to his homer, but he was given a reprieve by Lance Barksdale on a very close check-swing call. It was Hernández’s 18th homer of the year. He’s sixth in MLB with 54 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:20 pm
