    • Iglesias picks up 19th save in win over Tigers
Raisel Iglesias pitched a perfect ninth inning to pick up his 19th save on Tuesday against the Tigers.

Advice: After giving way to Joe Jimenez to shut the door on Monday, Iglesias was back on the bump on Tuesday to close things out vs. the Tigers. Iglesias needed just 11 pitches to pick up his 19th save of the season, bouncing back nicely from his last outing vs. the Rays. Rotoworld Today, 7:13 pm
    • Carroll has two-hit night in win over Nationals.
Corbin Carroll went 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Nationals.

Advice: Carroll tripled in the fifth inning to score Geraldo Perdomo from second and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Ketel Marte. After a slow start to the season, Carroll has hit much better this month. While he’s still looking for his first homer in June, he’s slashing a solid .293/.406/.431 with six extra base hits and 10 walks. Rotoworld Today, 6:20 pm
    • Without return timeline
Trout (knee) said Tuesday that his recovery from meniscus surgery has gone slower than expected and that he's without an official timetable for return, Sam Blum of The Athleticreports.

Advice: The 32-year-old underwent the procedure to repair a torn meniscus in early May and has yet to start up a running program. Trout is currently trying to find exercises that allow him to progress with minimal soreness, so he doesn't appear particularly close to baseball work. Barring a significant improvement in the near future, Trout seems likely to be sidelined well beyond the All-Star break in mid-July. Rotowire.com Today, 4:09 pm

    • Mike Trout (knee) remains without return timeline
Mike Trout (knee) told reporters Tuesday that he hasn’t resumed running and remains without a definitive return timeline.

Advice: Trout added that his recovery from last month’s surgery to repair a meniscus tear in his left knee has been progressing slower than he wants, which doesn’t exactly inspire confidence that he’ll make it back at any point in the near future. The 32-year-old generational talent is roughly six weeks removed from the procedure and there isn’t any sort of timeline for his potential return at this juncture. Rotoworld Today, 2:41 pm

    • Justin Verlander heads to IL with neck discomfort
Astros placed RHP Justin Verlander on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to June 16, with neck discomfort.

Advice: Houston’s decision to put Verlander on the shelf doesn’t come as much of a surprise after skipper Joe Espada told reporters earlier on Tuesday that the 41-year-old veteran was progressing “slower than expected” in his recovery from a lingering neck issue, which has been bothering him for a couple weeks now. He’ll get an extended break in an effort to put the issue to bed. No word yet on how the Astros will fill his spot in their injury-depleted starting rotation moving forward. • Moves to injured list
The Astros placed Verlander on the 15-day injured list Tuesday, retroactive to Sunday, due to neck discomfort.

Advice: Manager Joe Espada said earlier Tuesday that the veteran right-hander was progressing slower than expected from the neck discomfort that scratched him from Saturday's scheduled start, and he'll be sidelined for at least a couple turns through the rotation. Verlander is without an official timeline for return, but he'll be eligible to be activated from the injured list at the start of July. Rotowire.com Today, 1:56 pm

    • Back in lineup Tuesday
Caballero (calf) will start at shortstop and bat sixth in Tuesday's game in Minnesota.

Advice: Caballero had to be scratched from Sunday's lineup versus Atlanta due to left calf tightness, but he's feeling ready to play after Monday's team off day. It's his first start at shortstop since last Thursday. Rotowire.com Today, 1:50 pm

    • José Caballero returns to lineup Tuesday vs. Twins
José Caballero (calf) is back in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Twins.

Advice: Caballero is back at shortstop and sixth on Tuesday evening following a two-game absence over the weekend due to calf tightness. The 27-year-old shortstop has also been battling an illness over the last few days, so it’s an encouraging sign that he’s ready to go after only a couple days off to rest and recover. • Brenton Doyle back in lineup Tuesday vs. Dodgers
Brenton Doyle (knee) is in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Dodgers.

Advice: Doyle is back in center field for the second consecutive contest after sitting out a pair of contests over the weekend due to left knee tendinitis. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern moving forward for fantasy managers to worry about. Rotoworld Today, 1:36 pm
