    • Jeff Hoffman slams door on Cardinals on Friday
Jeff Hoffman slammed the door on the Cardinals in the ninth inning on Friday night, protecting a two-run lead to earn his fifth save of the season.

Advice: The 31-year-old hurler came on with a two-run advantage to protect against the heart of the Cardinals’ lineup. He made it look easy, getting Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Gorman on swinging third strikes before retiring Nolan Arenado on a fly ball to right to end it. Hoffman has been outstanding out of the Phillies’ bullpen this season, posting a 1.09 ERA and a 32/7 K/BB ratio over 24 2/3 innings of work. Rotoworld Friday, 5:58 pm
    • Josh Hader fans two in non-save situation vs. M’s
Josh Hader struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning on Thursday against the Mariners.

Advice: Hader got the call to protect a four-run advantage in a non-save situation and made things interesting by giving up singles to Julio Rodríguez and Ty France before striking out Dominic Canzone and getting Mitch Haniger to ground out to extinguish the threat. The 30-year-old lefty has allowed just two runs with a 20/4 K/BB ratio across 11 appearances since the start of May. Simply put, he remains one of the few elite closers in the fantasy landscape. • Picks up save No. 3
Stanek earned the save in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Astros after pitching a perfect ninth and striking out two.

Advice: Stanek got the call for the save opportunity with Andres Munoz unavailable having worked the previous two days. The former Astro would go on to strike out Alex Bregman and Jake Meyers before getting Jon Singleton to fly out to end the game. It was Stanek's third save of the year and his first since April 12 and he's now struck out six batters over his last three innings. For the year, the 32-year-old owns a 4.26 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 21:6 K:BB in 19 innings. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 4:47 am
    • Ryan Stanek notches third save for Mariners
Ryne Stanek picked up his third save with a perfect ninth Tuesday against the Astros.

Advice: Andrés Muñoz worked the previous two days, so he had this one off. Stanek has a 4.26 ERA and a 21/6 K/BB in 19 innings as the primary fallback in the Seattle pen. Rotoworld Tuesday, 11:01 pm
