      J.T. Realmuto went 2-for-5 with a homer, three RBI, and two runs scored in the Phillies’ 11-4 win over the Rangers on Wednesday.

      Advice: Realmuto put the Phillies ahead early with his home run off Dane Dunning and then broke the game open with a two-run single late. The ageless wonder is having a fantastic age-33 season with seven homers and a .283 average in the early going. That would be Realmuto’s highest batting average since 2016.       Doval gave up two unearned runs on two hits and a walk in two-thirds of an inning Tuesday to blow his first save of the season in a 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Pirates. He struck out one.

      Advice: The Giants rolled into the ninth inning with a 6-2 lead, but after Luke Jackson put two runners aboard with one out, Doval got the call and coaxed a potential double-play grounder from Andrew McCutchen, only for Marco Luciano to boot it and pave the way for a Pirates rally. Doval's control has taken a step backward this season, as he has a 15.7 percent walk rate compared to a 9.3 percent mark in 2023, but he still carries a 2.89 ERA to go with his 1.45 WHIP, 25:13 K:BB through 18.2 innings and eight saves.       Ohtani went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI, two runs and two steals in Tuesday's loss to the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: Ohtani was one of two Dodger hitters with multiple hits in the game and swiped multiple bases for the third time this year to bring his total up to 13. Ohtani now has nine multi-hit efforts this month and continues to terrorize opposing pitching.       Fry went 1-for-1 with a two-run home run and a walk in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Mets.

      Advice: Fry didn't start Tuesday, but he delivered a two-run home run when he pinch hit for Kyle Manzardo in the sixth inning. Over his last 11 games, Fry has gone 10-for-27 (.370) with four homers, nine RBI, 10 runs scored, two stolen bases and an 8:6 BB:K. The 28-year-old is taking advantage of every opportunity he gets despite lacking an everyday spot in the lineup. He's up to a .338/.476/.588 slash line with five homers, 18 RBI, 19 runs scored and three steals over 105 plate appearances this season.       Schmidt (5-2) took the loss Tuesday against Seattle, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks across five innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: Although Schmidt's scoreless-inning streak ended at 17 frames, he didn't allow more than three runs -- something he's yet to do this season. Dylan Moore inflicted all the damage on Schmidt, launching a two-run homer in the third inning. On the year, Schmidt boasts a 2.59 ERA with a 61:17 K:BB over 55.2 innings and owns his best strikeout rate since becoming a full-time big-leaguer in 2022.       Woo (2-0) earned the win Tuesday, yielding two hits and no walks with seven strikeouts across six scoreless innings against the Yankees.

      Advice: Woo's been excellent to start 2024, allowing just one run across 15.2 innings after missing the first month of the campaign with elbow inflammation. The 24-year-old still seems to be on a pitch count, as he only threw 77 pitches Tuesday and hasn't exceeded 80 pitches in a start this year. He's projected to make another start Sunday at Washington.       Clarke Schmidt allowed two earned runs and four hits over five innings in the Yankees’ loss to the Mariners.

      Advice: The two earned runs Schmidt allowed came on a two-run homer by Dylan Moore on a pitch that was off the outside black of the plate. It was a well-thrown pitch that resulted in an unfortunate outcome for Schmidt, who was otherwise solid on the evening. He walked just two batters while striking out six and has now struck out six or more batters in seven of his 10 starts. Schmidt is scheduled to make his next start on Sunday against the Padres.
