    • Tyler Freeman gets a day off on Thursday
Tyler Freeman is not in the Guardians’ lineup on Thursday against the Royals.

Advice: It’s just a routine day off for the 25-year-old who continues to start regularly in center field for the Guardians. Freeman has moved back down in the lineup with both Stevan Kwan and Andres Gimenez back, which will hurt his counting stats, but he does have five home runs and eight steals on the year, so he remains valuable in deeper formats. • Getting Thursday off
Freeman is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Royals.

Advice: Freeman had been in line to receive Wednesday's game off before that contest was postponed due to inclement weather, but he'll see his streak of 20 consecutive starts come to an official end Thursday. Though he's moved out of the leadoff spot since the Guardians brought back Steven Kwan from the injured list Friday, Freeman has continued to thrive with four hits -- including a game-winning home run Tuesday -- and a stolen base over his last four starts. Utility man Daniel Schneemann will get the nod in center field Thursday in Freeman's stead. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:23 am

    • Provides winning hit
Steer went 1-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Wednesday's 12-7 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Steer's two-run shot in the top of the ninth plated the tying and go-ahead runs for the Reds, who swept the Rockies in Colorado for the first time since 2012. He's cranked it up to start the new month with hits in five straight games, going 11-for-23 with a home run, two doubles and five RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:19 am

    • Nick Castellanos homers, Phillies sweep Brewers
Nick Castellanos swatted a two-run homer on Wednesday, lifting the Phillies to a 2-0 victory over the Brewers.

Advice: Castellanos connected for a 402-foot blast off Brewers southpaw Aaron Ashby in the fifth inning for his eighth big fly of the season. It wound up being the lone tally for either side in a rare low-scoring showdown at Citizens Bank Park and was more than enough run support for Aaron Nola and the Phillies’ bullpen in this one. The 32-year-old corner outfielder has homered twice in this last seven contests since May 29. Rotoworld Wednesday, 4:53 pm
    • Provides only offense in win
Castellanos went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 2-0 win over the Brewers.

Advice: The veteran outfielder provided the game's only offense by taking Aaron Ashby deep in the fifth inning. Castellanos is beginning to climb out of his early season hole, batting .270 (17-for-63) over his last 16 games with four of his eight homers on the season, along with 11 runs and 11 RBI. • Spencer Steer slugs go-ahead homer vs. Rockies
Spencer Steer walloped a go-ahead two-run homer in the ninth inning on Wednesday in the Reds’ comeback win over the Rockies.

Advice: Steer was the hero on Wednesday afternoon at Coors Field for Cincinnati as he delivered a clutch go-ahead homer off Rockies closer Jalen Beeks with the Reds down to their final out. It was his seventh round-tripper of the season. Rotoworld Wednesday, 4:31 pm

    • Taking seat Wednesday
Freeman is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.

Advice: Though he's moved out of the leadoff spot since the Guardians brought back Steven Kwan from the injured list Friday, Freeman has continued to thrive with four hits -- including a game-winning home run Tuesday -- and a stolen base over his last four games. Utility man Daniel Schneemann will get the nod in center field Wednesday in what looks to be little more than a maintenance day for Freeman, who had started in each of Cleveland's last 20 games. • Hits game-tying homer
Freeman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 8-5 win over the Royals.

Advice: Freeman's homer tied the game at 5-5 in the seventh inning. He hit eighth Tuesday, the lowest he's been in the order since May 9, though it was expected he'd see less time in the top-third of the lineup following Steven Kwan's return from a hamstring injury. Freeman is batting a respectable .256 over his last 20 games, though his season average remains at .219 with a .666 OPS, five homers, 24 RBI, 33 runs scored and eight stolen bases through 54 contests. • Crosses plate three times Tuesday
Winker went 1-for-2 with a walk, a stolen base and three runs scored in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Mets.

Advice: The steal actually came on a botched pickoff, as Mets starter David Peterson had Winker dead to rights but Pete Alonso couldn't handle the pitcher's throw to first. It still goes into the books as Winker's 11th stolen base of the season, an incredible number considering he came into the year just 3-for-6 on the basepaths over 610 career big-league games. The 30-year-old outfielder is also locked in at the plate right now, batting .343 (12-for-35) with a .429 OBP over the last 11 contests, but his only extra-base hit among those dozen knocks is a double.
