    • Santander has three hits, five RBI vs CIN
Anthony Santander went 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored, and five RBI in an 11-1 win over the Reds on Sunday.

Advice: It was only a matter of time before Santander started to get hot. The 29-year-old took Emilio Pagan deep for a three-run shot in the eighth innings that went 402 feet and left the bat at 104 mph. He also had a 107.3 mph single and 98.3 mph single on the day. He’s slashing .218/.295/.427 on the season with five home runs and 23 RBI. If you can, now would still be the time to try and trade for Santander before he really gets hot. • Steven Kwan (hamstring) heading to injured list
Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports that the Guardians plan to place Steven Kwan (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list prior to Monday’s game against the Tigers.

Advice: Top prospect Kyle Manzardo will be promoted from Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding move to replace him on the active roster. Kwan exited Saturday’s game against the Angels with tightness in his left hamstring and underwent an MRI to determine the severity of the issue. The result of that exam is not yet known, so it’s hard to speculate just how much time the 26-year-old outfielder may stand to miss. Rotoworld Today, 4:27 pm

    • Bounces back with W
Carrasco (2-2) earned the win Sunday, allowing one run on six hits and two walks over six innings against the Angels. He struck out three.

Advice: Carrasco got back on track with his first quality start of 2024, rebounding from a pair of poor starts leading up to the outing where he combined for 13 earned runs over nine innings. If you erase Carrasco's two-start hiccup, he owns a 2.92 era over 24.2 innings with a 19:14 K:BB. He's lined up for a start against the White Sox on Saturday, who've won five of their last nine games and are averaging 4.9 runs per game in that stretch. Rotowire.com Today, 4:03 pm

    • Ceddanne Rafaela homers as BoSox snap Twins streak
Ceddanne Rafaela homered and walked Sunday as the Red Sox snapped the Twins’ 12-game winning streak by prevailing 9-2.

Advice: Rafaela’s homer was 105.2 mph off the bat and was projected at 398 feet. The 23-year-old clearly possesses sufficient pop, but the approach needs work; he’s swinging at everything and just not making hard contact consistently. The result to date has been a .202/.228/.370 line with three homers and four steals in seven tries. Rotoworld Today, 2:25 pm

    • Move to IL coming
Kwan will be placed on the injured list Monday, Zack Meisel of The Athleticreports.

Advice: The 26-year-old left Saturday's game due to left hamstring tightness and will now be sidelined for at least the next week and a half. The results of Kwan's MRI aren't yet known, so it's unclear exactly how long he'll be sidelined. Prospect Kyle Manzardo will be joining the Guardians for his first taste of the big leagues in Kwan's absence. Rotowire.com Today, 1:39 pm

    • Carlos Carrasco strong for six in downing Angels
Carlos Carrasco limited the Angels to one run in six innings as the Guardians prevailed 4-1 on Sunday.

Advice: Carrasco picked up his second win while lasting six innings for the first time in seven starts this season. He has a 5.67 ERA and a poor 26/17 K/BB ratio through 33 1/3 innings. Next up for him is a start in Chicago against the White Sox. Rotoworld Today, 1:21 pm

    • Jeimer Candelario (shin) scratched from lineup
Jeimer Candelario has been scratched from the lineup Sunday with a bruised left shin.

Advice: Candelario fouled a ball off his shin Saturday, and the Reds will give the 30-year-old a day of rest as a precaution. Santiago Espinal is now starting in Candelario’s absence. He should be considered day-to-day. Rotoworld Today, 11:28 am

    • Scratched with shin contusion
Candelario was scratched from Sunday's lineup against the Orioles due to a left shin contusion, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Candelario was penciled in at third base but won't start as scheduled due to the injury. He'll have Monday's team off day to rest up before Tuesday's series opener versus Arizona. Santiago Espinal will step in at the hot corner Sunday. Rotowire.com Today, 11:28 am

    • Ezequiel Tovar gets first day off of season
Ezequiel Tovar is not in the lineup to begin Sunday’s game against the Pirates.

Advice: For the first time in 2024, Tovar will get a day off. The shortstop will at least begin Sunday’s finale on the bench with Alan Trejo handling his duties. Rotoworld Today, 9:54 am
