    • Getting day off
Mountcastle is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against Boston.

Advice: After making five straight starts, Mountcastle will take a seat Tuesday. The first baseman has generated a hit in six straight games, going 11-for-25 (.440) with five runs scored and four doubles. Ryan O'Hearn will play first base and bat third while Kyle Stowers fills the DH spot and bats seventh. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:25 pm
    • Ryan Mountcastle gets Tuesday off vs. Red Sox
Ryan Mountcastle is not in the starting lineup Tuesday against the Orioles.

Advice: Mountcastle will get a day off against Brayan Bello and the Red Sox. Kyle Stowers is the designated hitter for the Orioles with Ryan O’Hearn lined up at first base. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:19 pm
    • Belts fourth homer in win
Bichette went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's win over the White Sox.

Advice: He took Nick Nastrini deep in the fourth inning, one of three long balls for Toronto on the day. Bichette is batting .424 (14-for-33) over the last eight games, boosting his slash line on the season to .247/.297/.366 with four homers, four steals, 18 runs and 23 RBI through 50 contests. • Racks up three hits
Mountcastle went 3-for-5 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 11-3 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Mountcastle has hit safely in his last six games, going 11-for-25 (.440) in that span. During the streak, he has a double in four of those six games, though he's added just two RBI and has not hit a home run since May 8. Nonetheless, the first baseman is putting together a strong campaign with a .280/.317/.468 slash line, six homers, 20 RBI, 28 runs scored, 15 doubles, one triple and two stolen bases over 47 games. • Making rehab start Wednesday
Williams (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Columbus on Wednesday, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Williams had faced hitters a couple times recently without issue and has now been cleared to pitch in games. The young right-hander has been battling right elbow discomfort since spring training and experienced a setback in late April, but he's trending in a good direction now. It's been nearly three months since Williams last started a game, so his rehab assignment could take a while. Rotowire.com Monday, 12:08 pm

    • Gavin Williams will start in Triple-A on Wednesday
According to Guardians manager Stephen Vogt, Gavin Williams (elbow) is expected to start for Columbus on Wednesday.

Advice: The 24-year-old former top prospect was close to a rehab assignment in late April but felt renewed elbow discomfort and was shut down again. He’s been built back up to around 50 pitches in his last few bullpen outings, so he will likely need three or four starts in Triple-A to increase his pitch count before the team feels comfortable activating him. If his start goes well on Wednesday, it might be the time to stash Williams if you have an open IL spot. Rotoworld Monday, 12:03 pm

    • Justin Turner on the bench again
Justin Turner is on the bench for Monday’s game against the White Sox.

Advice: Turner got a day off on Sunday, but he remains out of the lineup on Monday with Daniel Vogelbach starting at designated hitter again. The 39-year-old is slashing just .222/.301/.359 in 173 plate appearances in 2024 with four home runs and 18 RBI. It’s possible that the Blue Jays will look to get at-bats for other players in his place, and fantasy managers can certainly look to do the same with a hot bat on the waiver wire. • Could return this week
Reds manager David Bell said Monday that Friedl (thumb) could return as soon as late this week or early next week, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Advice: Just six games into his return from a fractured right wrist, Friedl suffered a broken left thumb as a result of a hit-by-pitch. Fortunately for Friedl and the Reds, it doesn't sound like he will have to miss nearly as much action this time around. Bell has already said he thinks Friedl could bypass a rehab assignment. • Out of lineup again Monday
Turner is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the White Sox.

Advice: Turner has now been absent from the lineup for two straight games and three times over his club's last five contests. He did enter the game twice over that stretch as a pinch hitter and will be an option to do so again Monday when/if the White Sox put a left-handed reliever in. Daniel Vogelbach will start at designated hitter Monday. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:52 am
