    • Jhoan Duran locks down sixth save against Rangers
Jhoan Duran struck out one batter in a clean ninth inning to earn the save against the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: After the Twins came back to take a two-run lead in the bottom of the eighth, Duran was summoned to close it out in the top of the ninth. He struck out one batter in a clean frame on just eight pitches, shutting the door on the Rangers for his sixth save. Rotoworld Today, 2:10 pm

    • Report: Nathan Eovaldi unlikely to return Sunday
Jeff Wilson of Rangers Today reports Nathan Eovaldi (groin) is unlikely to return this weekend.

Advice: Eovaldi is progressing towards a return from the injured list, but it doesn’t sound like he’ll return this weekend, as the Rangers are most likely going to roll with a bullpen game for Sunday’s series finale against the Twins. There should be some additional clarity on his return timetable at some point this weekend. Rotoworld Today, 6:55 am

    • Picks up ninth save
Doval gave up a run on two hits and a walk while striking out one in the ninth inning Friday to record his ninth save of the season in an 8-7 win over the Mets.

Advice: The Giants scored six of their runs in the eighth and ninth innings to create the save chance, but Doval very nearly squandered it following a leadoff double by pinch hitter DJ Stewart and a fielding error by Marco Luciano. It was the first earned run the right-hander has allowed since May 8 at Coors Field, and on the season Doval carries a 3.05 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 27:15 K:BB through 20.2 innings while converting nine of 10 save opportunities. • Escapes with no-decision Friday
Harrison came away with a no-decision in Friday's 8-7 comeback win over the Mets, giving up five runs (four earned) on six hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out six.

Advice: The rookie southpaw got hit hard, serving up loud homers to J.D. Martinez and Mark Vientos in the fifth inning, and Harrison left the mound with the Giants down 5-2 before they once again rallied, becoming only the fourth team since 1900 to win three straight games that it had been trailing by at least four runs. Harrison has pitched into the sixth inning only once in his last five starts, and curiously the exception came at Coors Field. He'll take a 3.90 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 55:21 K:BB through 60 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Phillies. Rotowire.com Today, 6:19 am
    • Jhoan Durán throws hitless inning for save
Jhoan Durán worked a hitless ninth for his fifth save Friday against the Rangers.

Advice: After giving up runs in his previous three appearances, Duran had a pretty easy one tonight, though he did walk a batter. Duran had his worst fastball velocity of the season last time out, averaging 99.0 mph, but he was back up to 101.0 mph tonight, which is obviously good news. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:06 pm

    • Secures fifth save
Duran allowed a walk and struck out one batter in a scoreless inning to earn a save over the Rangers on Friday.

Advice: Duran worked around a two-out walk to finish off a 3-2 win. He'd been tagged with five runs in 2.2 innings over his previous three outings after beginning the year with a seven-inning scoreless streak. Friday's outing was his first scoreless appearance since May 12 and lowered his ERA to 4.22 alongside an 11:4 K:BB. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:23 pm

    • Earns quality start in loss
Gallen (5-4) allowed three runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out five over seven innings to take the loss versus the Marlins on Friday.

Advice: Gallen produced his longest outing of the season and his fourth straight quality start, but the Diamondbacks' offense couldn't get anything going as Miami starter Braxton Garrett tossed a shutout. Gallen has permitted more than three runs just once in 10 starts this season, pitching to a 3.12 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 60:15 K:BB over 57.2 innings. He's projected to make his next start on the road versus the Rangers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:21 pm

    • Gallen goes seven strong, but picks up loss
Zac Gallen went seven innings while allowing three runs Friday against the Marlins while picking up a loss.

Advice: Gallen allowed a two-run single in the second, and a solo homer to Jake Burger in the fourth. After that — and in-between — the right-hander was effective while walking just one and striking out five. He still picks up a loss with Arizona being dominated by Braxton Garrett while he was in the contest. Gallen takes a 3.12 ERA into a scheduled start against the Mets on Thursday. • Camilo Doval hangs on for ninth save
Camilo Doval worked around two hits and an error to earn the save on Friday over the Mets. He struck out one.

Advice: This was a treacherous ninth inning for Doval. The Mets rallied on him and then Marco Luciano butchered a tailor-made double play that would’ve ended the game. Then he intentionally walked Brandon Nimmo before punching out J.D. Martinez with a runner on third and one out. Then Matt Chapman made a herculean bare-handed play to end the game. He remains a super steady closing option despite this near collapse. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:28 pm
