• Jonah Heim hits ninth-inning homer in Rangers’ win
Jonah Heim hit a game-tying homer in the ninth Sunday as the Rangers beat the Giants 3-2 in 10 innings.

Advice: Heim got off to a slow start over the first 10 days, but he’s settled in nicely since, batting .296 with four homers and 16 RBI in his last 21 games. The Rangers have occasionally batted him as low as eighth and ninth, but he was in the fifth spot today against a lefty and he could hit a little higher versus righties with Wyatt Langford out. • Adam Frazier goes 0-for-3 against Rangers
Adam Frazier went 0-for-3 before being removed for defense Sunday against the Rangers.

Advice: Frazier got the nod in right field today even though he came in with a .176/.300/.206 line in 80 plate appearances. That’s really the problem with signing an Adam Frazier. He’s not this bad, but he’s also very unlikely to be very good and managers just love forcing him into the lineup. Since the beginning of 2022, he has 1,140 plate appearances with a .234 average, a .300 OBP and a .337 slugging percentage. Rotoworld Today, 4:56 pm

  • Swipes two bags in loss
Blanco secured two stolen bases in Sunday's 3-2 extra-inning loss to the Rangers.

Advice: Blanco entered the game in the bottom of the eighth inning as a pinch runner for Vinnie Pasquantino, stealing both second and third base. The outfielder is now up to eight stolen bases this season and he's gotten three total swipes over the last three games. On the flip side, Blanco only draws the occasional spot in the starting lineup, limiting his upside as a stolen base option for fantasy managers. Rotowire.com Today, 4:55 pm

  • Brent Rooker stays hot with two hits in loss
Brent Rooker went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored in a loss to the Marlins on Sunday.

Advice: Rooker now has hits in seven of his last eight games and has six hits in this weekend’s series against the Marlins alone. He’s now slashing .256/.348/.615 on the year with eight home runs and 20 RBI. Rooker is a notoriously streaker hitter, so we have no idea how long this heater will last, but he should be on rosters while he’s swinging the bat this well. Rotoworld Today, 4:55 pm

  • Drives in three
Soto went 1-for-4 with three RBI during Sunday's 5-2 win over the Tigers. He struck out twice.

Advice: Soto had a rough go of it against Detroit starter Tarik Skubal, striking out twice against the tough lefty. However, Soto fared much better against southpaw reliever Andrew Chafin, clearing the bases with a seventh inning double to break a 2-2 tie and provide the winning runs for the Yankees. Soto's average stands at .316 with a .980 OPS, including eight homers, 28 RBI, 23 runs and four steals over 136 at-bats during his first season in the Bronx. Rotowire.com Today, 4:49 pm

  • Smacks homer No. 8
Naylor went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run during Sunday's 4-1 win over the Angels.

Advice: Naylor entered Sunday's game 2-for-19 in his past five games but broke out of the cold spell with a 410-foot homer in the eighth inning off Matt Moore. With eight home runs through 32 games, Naylor is well on his way to a career high in the category, which he set with 20 home runs over 122 games in 2022. He boasts a monstrous .263 ISO this season. • Luis García Jr. goes 4-for-4, homers in victory
Before being lifted for a pinch-hitter, Luis García Jr. went 4-for-4 with a homer and a walk Sunday as the Nationals topped the Blue Jays 11-8.

Advice: Only Dave Martinez, man. It wasn’t even because there was a lefty in that García was pulled. Instead, Martinez brought in Ildemaro Vargas to lay down a bunt in Garcia’s place with a 10-8 lead in the eighth. Most annoying is that it worked out; not only did Vargas bunt the runner to third, but he reached first after the Jays tried and failed to retire the lead man, and the Nationals scored one run in the inning. It was García’s third career four-hit game. He’s actually one of the rare major leaguers to have had six hits in a game, doing so against the Royals last year. García is hitting .337/.381/.510 this season. Rotoworld Today, 4:00 pm

  • Jonny DeLuca delivers game-winning triple for Rays
Jonny DeLuca went 2-for-4 with a game-winning, two-run triple in the bottom of the 10th as the Rays outlasted the Mets 7-6 on Sunday.

Advice: Harrison Bader was shaded the other way and came up just a little short on a diving attempt for DeLuca’s shot to center in the 10th. The ball that rolled all of the way to the wall, and it might have been an inside-the-park homer if the winning run wasn’t already on base. DeLuca also had an RBI single earlier in the contest. He might be limited to playing mostly against lefties once the Rays get Josh Lowe back, but as is, he’s started three straight games since coming off the IL and gone 3-for-11 with six RBI. • Jose Caballero steals four bases with no hits
Jose Caballero stole four bases and scored three runs without recording a hit Sunday against the Mets.

Advice: Only against the Mets. Caballero walked three times today and also got a steal as the automatic runner in the 10th inning. He’s just the second player this millennium to steal four bases without getting a hit; Everth Cabrera did so for the Padres in 2012. Caballero leads the AL with 13 steals in 18 tries this season.
