    • Kyle Harrison allows two homers in loss to Phillies
Kyle Harrison surrendered four runs over five innings on Wednesday in a loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Harrison was knocked around for a staggering 12 hits, including homers by Kyle Schwarber and Nick Castellanos, so it’s pretty remarkable that he managed to limit the damage to just four runs over five frames of work. He racked up five strikeouts and only handed out one free pass. The 22-year-old southpaw will bring a respectable 4.15 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 60/22 K/BB ratio across 65 innings (12 starts) into a road tilt on Tuesday against the division-rival Diamondbacks. • Earns fourth win
Dunning (4-3) earned the win Wednesday over the Diamondbacks, allowing three hits and four walks over five scoreless innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Dunning had to contend with some traffic Wednesday, though he'd manage to keep Arizona off the board for five innings, earning his first win since April 28. It's an encouraging bounce-back effort from Dunning in his second start back from the IL -- he took the loss in his last outing against the Phillies, allowing five runs (three earned) in 3.1 innings. Overall, Dunning lowered his ERA to 3.94 with a 1.20 WHIP and 53:22 K:BB across nine starts (45.2 innings) this year. He's currently lined up for a home matchup with the Tigers in his next start. • Dane Dunning works five scoreless vs. D-backs
Dane Dunning struck out six over five scoreless innings on Wednesday in a win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Pitching on extra rest due to a sinus infection that he dealt with last weekend, Dunning got plenty of run support from the Rangers’ lineup and held Arizona scoreless, scattering three hits and four walks over five frames. The 29-year-old righty has struggled to work deep into outings, pitching into the sixth inning just once over his last seven starts dating back to April 12. He’ll bring a pedestrian 3.94 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 53/22 K/BB ratio across 45 2/3 innings (nine starts) into a favorable home outing on Tuesday against the Tigers. Rotoworld Wednesday, 2:21 pm

    • Jose Caballero getting night off on Wednesday
Jose Caballero is absent from the Rays’ starting lineup for Wednesday night’s tilt against the Athletics.

Advice: It looks to be just a routine night off for the speedy 27-year-old shortstop. Amed Rosario will start in his place and will bat seventh against Athletics’ right-hander Joey Estes on Wednesday evening in Tampa Bay. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:32 pm

    • Receives day off
Caballero is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Athletics, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Advice: Caballero will get a day off after striking out 23 times over his last 53 plate appearances. Amed Rosario will get the start at shortstop Wednesday while Caballero receives some rest. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 1:21 pm

    • Sitting against left-hander
Nimmo is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Dodgers.

Advice: Southpaw James Paxton is on the hill for the Dodgers, so the left-handed-hitting Nimmo will open Wednesday's game on the bench. Tyrone Taylor will patrol left field while Nimmo rests. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:48 am

    • Plays outfield
Garcia started in right field and went 0-for-4 in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: This was Garcia's first start in the outfield since missing two games due to a forearm injury. He's gone 3-for-23 (.130) with a home run, a double and two RBI since his return. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 3:48 am

    • Fills stat sheet in win
Fry went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run, a stolen base and three total runs scored in Tuesday's 13-7 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Fry has a pair of three-hits games over his last nine contests, going 13-for-26 (.500) with four homers, three steals and 11 RBI in that span. The utility man is on another level lately, though he's been strong throughout the campaign with a .357/.492/.622 slash line, seven homers, 23 RBI, 26 runs scored and four steals over 128 plate appearances. He's started three straight games in left field, but that avenue into the lineup will close when Steven Kwan (hamstring) returns from the injured list. Fry could compete for playing time with Kyle Manzardo at designated hitter or Bo Naylor at catcher, given both of those players' struggles at the plate. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 9:59 pm

    • David Fry goes 3-for-3, hits three-run homer
David Fry went 3-for-3 and hit a three-run homer Tuesday against the Rockies.

Advice: Fry wasn’t expected to make the Guardians out of spring training and then wasn’t slated to play against righties once he did make the team, but all he’s done so far is hit .357/.492/.622 with seven homers and four steals in 128 plate appearances. The exit velocity numbers don’t back up anything close to this level of performance, but he’ll probably remain pretty solid and he has catcher eligibility. Rotoworld Tuesday, 9:49 pm
