The Dodgers reinstated Phillips (hamstring) from the 15-day injured list Friday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Phillips was forced onto the injured list May 5 after suffering a right hamstring strain. He's since thrown 1.2 innings of shutout ball while striking out three batters and walking none during a rehab assignment with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga. The 29-year-old right-hander should immediately retain his spot as the Dodgers' closer -- a role he thrived in prior to getting injured, giving up just one earned run in 13.2 frames while collecting eight saves. Elieser Hernandez was designated for assignment in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com 15 minutes ago

    • Dodgers activate Evan Phillips from 15-day IL
Dodgers activated RHP Evan Phillips from the 15-day injured list.

Advice: The 29-year-old closer finally returns to the Dodgers’ bullpen after landing on the injured list with a hamstring strain. While Daniel Hudson and Blake Treinen did a nice job in his absence, expect Phillips to jump right into the team’s ninth-inning role. On the season, he holds a minuscule 0.66 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and a 17/4 K/BB ratio over 13 2/3 innings of work while recording eight saves. Rotoworld 38 minutes ago

    • Ian Happ hits rare opposite-field homer in loss
Ian Happ had a two-run homer and a bases-loaded walk Friday to supply three of the Cubs’ four runs against the Reds.

Advice: Happ’s 364-foot homer, hit as a left-hander to the most generous part of Wrigley in left-center, was his first to the opposite field since 2022. He has four homers in six games after totaling just two in 47 games to start the year. Rotoworld Today, 2:40 pm

    • Randy Arozarena absent from Rays lineup on Friday
Randy Arozarena is absent from the Rays’ starting lineup for Friday night’s battle against the Orioles.

Advice: The 29-year-old outfielder’s struggles have been well documented this season, as he’s hitting a mere .159/.258/.313 with eight homers, 19 RBI and a 66/25 K/BB ratio over 229 plate appearances. Jonny DeLuca will start in his place in left field and will bat fifth for the Rays against Albert Suarez and the Orioles on Friday evening in Baltimore. Rotoworld Today, 1:54 pm
    • Getting break Friday
Arozarena is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Orioles, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Arozarena will get a break after starting the last four games for Tampa Bay, going 2-for-12 with one RBI in that stretch. The 29-year-old outfielder will cede left-field duties to Jonny DeLuca, who will bat fifth while Jose Siri and Richie Palacios round out Tampa Bay's outfield. Rotowire.com Today, 1:13 pm
    • Smacks 10th homer
Paredes went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk Thursday against the Athletics.

Advice: Paredes tallied his 10th homer of the season and third in May, and he's hitting .301 with 15 RBI and 10 runs scored across 24 contests on the month. Paredes remains locked into either the third or fourth spot in the Rays' order, giving him plenty of opportunities to rack up counting stats. Rotowire.com Today, 7:30 am

    • Triple, three RBI in win
Soto went 1-for-3 with a triple and three RBI in Thursday's win over the Angels while also drawing two walks.

Advice: The right fielder walked in his second plate appearance before coming around to score on a home run from Aaron Judge. Soto would later add a bases-loaded triple in the seventh as he reached base three times for the second consecutive game. He's up to 24 RBI in the month of May, and his 49 RBI on the season have him tied for second in MLB with Marcell Ozuna. Rotowire.com Today, 6:47 am

    • Belts sixth homer
Bregman went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, an additional run and a triple in Thursday's 4-0 win against Seattle.

Advice: Bregman broke a scoreless tie with his two-run blast in the fourth inning and came around to score Houston's final run following a triple in the sixth. It was the third multi-hit effort for the third baseman across his past five games, and he's batting .350 (7-for-20) with a pair of homers and four RBI over that stretch. Bregman could finally be getting his bat going following a rough start to the season that has his slash line still at a meager .218/.280/.360. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:36 pm

    • Juan Soto triples home three against Angels
Juan Soto hit a three-run triple to help the Yankees to a win Thursday over the Angels.

Advice: Soto also drew a pair of walks. The three-run triple extended New York’s lead to 7-1, and gave the 25-year-old 49 RBI; tying him for second in the majors. Soto has been outstanding in his first year in pinstripes, and there’s loads of reasons to believe he’ll continue this good run over the next 100-plus games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:24 pm
