    • Throwing off mound
Scherzer (back/arm) will throw a "full" bullpen session Wednesday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: Scherzer will throw off a mound for the first time since being shut down in early May, an encouraging sign for the 38-year-old, who's rehabbing a nerve problem in his throwing arm and an offseason back surgery. Prior to the setback, Scherzer threw 52 pitches April 25 in a rehab start at Triple-A Round Rock. Rotowire.com 5 minutes ago

    • Rehab assignment on tap
Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said Tuesday that a decision on where Gallegos (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment will be made Wednesday, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The right-hander threw a live bullpen session over the weekend and had another bullpen session Tuesday, clearing him to begin a minor-league rehab assignment. Gallegos landed on the shelf with a pinched nerve in his shoulder in early May, and he should be able to rejoin the Cardinals after a short stay in the minor leagues. Rotowire.com 6 minutes ago
    • Making another rehab start
Wicks (forearm) is starting for Triple-A Iowa on Tuesday, Tony Andracki of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Advice: Wicks will make his second rehab appearance at Triple-A Iowa after going two scoreless innings with three strikeouts Friday. He's still in the process of getting stretched out, so it's expected Wicks will need a couple more rehab starts before being activated. Rotowire.com 10 minutes ago

    • Keynan Middleton (forearm) suffers setback
Cardinal manager Oliver Marmol told reporters Tuesday that Keynan Middleton is undergoing additional imaging on his right forearm.

Advice: It’s yet another setback for Middleton, who has yet to throw a pitch this season for St. Louis after signing as a free agent. The 30-year-old righty started a minor league rehab assignment earlier this month, but appears to still be dealing with flexor tendon pain. There is no timetable for his return at the moment. • Undergoing imaging
Middleton (forearm) is getting imaging done and will be checked out by team doctors Tuesday, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Middleton reported soreness after making back-to-back appearances at Double-A Springfield and will get evaluated by the team. He's been sidelined since March with a strained right forearm and was close to being activated from the 15-day IL before suffering the setback. Rotowire.com 15 minutes ago
    • Hyde: Dean Kremer (triceps) to resume throwing
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde told reporters Tuesday that Dean Kremer (triceps) will resume throwing later this week.

Advice: Kremer hit the injured list last week with a right triceps strain, so it’s an encouraging development that he’s ready to resume throwing already. The 28-year-old righty should rejoin Baltimore’s starting rotation mix at some point in mid-June. Rotoworld 22 minutes ago

    • DL getting undergoing tests after ‘tweaking’ knee
DL Hall is undergoing additional testing after “tweaking” his left knee last week during a minor league rehab appearance.

Advice: Hall expressed frustration with reporters on Tuesday as he awaits additional medical opinions on his knee, adding that he believes it to be a similar issue to the one that sent him to the injured list back in mid-April. There is no timetable for the 25-year-old southpaw’s return at the moment, but there should be an update on his prognosis at some point this week. Rotoworld 24 minutes ago

    • Kyle Isbel returns to lineup Tuesday vs. Twins
Kyle Isbel (face) has returned to the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Twins.

Advice: Isbel returns for Kansas City following a two-game absence after suffering a facial fracture when he fouled a ball off his face during Saturday’s contest against the Rays. The 27-year-old is back in center field and batting ninth on Tuesday evening at Target Field. Rotoworld 30 minutes ago

    • Close to playing catch
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Tuesday that Kremer (triceps) is improving and could be cleared to play catch soon, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Kremer was placed on the 15-day injured list this past Friday, but it's looking like his absence might not last long. That said, it might be a push for the right-hander to return when eligible on June 5. More should be known on Kremer's potential timetable in the coming days. Rotowire.com 32 minutes ago
