    • Jose Siri smashes sixth home run in loss Friday
Jose Siri went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, a walk and a solo home run against the Orioles on Friday.

Advice: The home run was Siri’s sixth of the year. He’s hitting just .197 on the season and can’t be counted on for batting average. Siri his 25 home runs last year, though. He’s one to keep an eye on if he regains that power stroke this season. Rotoworld 26 minutes ago

    • Two triples in win
Perkins went 3-for-4 with a pair of triples, two RBI and three runs scored in Friday's 10-0 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Perkins extended Milwaukee's lead to 3-0 in the second inning with an RBI triple, the first of his career, before driving in another run with his second three-bagger in the fifth. The 27-year-old Perkins has been swinging the bat well -- he's now 13-for-30 (.433) over his last eight games with five extra-base hits and six RBI. Overall, he's slashing .260./332/.398 across 202 plate appearances this year with five homers, 32 runs scored, 21 RBI and six stolen bases. Rotowire.com 30 minutes ago

    • Rodgers leaves vs. Cards with apparent injury
Brendan Rodgers left Friday’s game with an apparent injury against the Cardinals.

Advice: Rodgers was limping to first base and exited slowly. The Rockies should provide an injury update on the 27-year-old before the end of Friday’s contest. Alan Trejo has replaced Rodgers. Rotoworld 30 minutes ago

    • Stellar in spot start
Myers (2-2) earned the win Friday against Detroit, allowing just one hit and three walks over eight scoreless innings. He struck out five.

Advice: After he was recalled from Triple-A Nashville on Thursday, Myers rejoined the Brewers' rotation Friday and delivered a fantastic effort -- he allowed a single to Matt Vierling to lead off the first inning (which was erased on a pickoff) before proceeding to hold the Tigers hitless over his final seven frames. Myers lowered his ERA to 4.15 with a 1.24 WHIP and 32:13 K:BB across 34.2 innings in a swing role with Milwaukee this year. He figures to stick in the rotation for now with Joe Ross (back), Robert Gasser (elbow), Jakob Junis (shoulder) and DL Hall (knee) all on the IL. Rotowire.com 36 minutes ago

    • Patrick Wisdom goes hitless as leadoff man
Patrick Wisdom went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts as the Cubs’ leadoff man Friday against the Reds.

Advice: Wisdom had never before led off a game until this season. The Cubs have tried it three times versus southpaws and watched him go 2-for-12 with seven strikeouts and no runs scored. He’s been rather productive the rest of the time, but he hasn’t been able to earn many starts against righties. Rotoworld 40 minutes ago

    • Irvin allows three runs and picks up win Friday
Cole Irvin allowed three runs (two earned) in 5 2/3 innings and got the win in the Orioles’ 6-3 victory over the Rays on Friday.

Advice: Irvin gave up eight hits, walked none and struck out six. The win was his sixth of the season. Irvin hasn’t allowed more than three earned runs since his second start of the year back on April 10th. His ERA on the season is now 2.87, though his 4.19 xFIP tells a different story. The 30-year-old left-hander will see if he can keep it going against the Braves at home next week.

    • Exits due to injury
Rodgers was removed from Friday's game against the Cardinals due to an apparent lower-body injury, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Advice: Rodgers came up limping after running to first base during the fourth inning of Friday's game and had to be replaced on the basepaths by Alan Trejo. It isn't immediately clear what is causing Rodgers trouble, but the Rockies will evaluate him in their clubhouse and should provide some more information shortly. Rotowire.com 50 minutes ago

    • Myers cruises to win over Tigers Friday
Tobias Myers threw eight shutout innings and got the win in the Brewers’ 10-0 victory over the Tigers on Friday.

Advice: Myers gave up one hit, walked three and struck out five. The win was his second of the year. He was staked to a 5-0 lead in the second inning and the Tigers never managed to get back in the game. Detroit’s offense totaled two hits on the night and one was with Myers already out of the game in the ninth inning of a 10-0 game. He hadn’t completed even five innings in any of his last four starts, but the rookie had his best outing of the year in Detroit. Myers brought his ERA down to 4.15 on the year. The 25-year-old right-hander is set to face the Blue Jays at home next week.

    • Cruz blasts ninth home run on Friday
Oneil Cruz went 1-for-2 with a walk and a solo home run against the Twins on Friday.

Advice: The home run was Cruz’ ninth of the season and second in as many days. Prior to Thursday, he had gone 15 games without a home run and was hitting .180 in that stretch. He’s hitting .247 with a .744 OPS and 24 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Today, 6:15 pm
