• Hits first homer of season
Flores went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 14-3 loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Flores has gone 6-for-19 (.316) with three RBI, a homer, a double, and a 3:3 BB:K over his last seven contests. It's been more of the same for Flores this year -- he began the year in a utility role, but he's earned a short-side platoon role with LaMonte Wade at first base over the first month of the campaign. The Giants have had good infield health so far, so it's unlikely Flores carves out a much larger role. He's slashing .234/.322/.325 with five extra-base hits, 12 RBI and seven runs scored across 90 plate appearances. Rotowire.com 13 minutes ago
  • Steps out of lineup versus lefty
Cave is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates, Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports.

Advice: Though the lefty-hitting Cave is on the bench Sunday with southpaw Bailey Falter on the hill for Pittsburgh, Cave started in right field both of the Rockies' last two matchups versus right-handed pitching. Cave could end up occupying the strong side of a platoon in right field with the right-handed-hitting Sean Bouchard until Kris Bryant (back) returns from the 10-day injured list. Renfroe is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: Renfroe started the first two games of the series and will head to the bench for the finale after he went 2-for-7 with a homer, a walk and three RBI. Adam Frazier will start in right field and bat eighth Sunday. Rotowire.com 32 minutes ago

  • Strong start at Amarillo
De Los Santos was named the Texas League Player of the Month for April after leading the circuit with 32 hits, seven home runs and 58 total bases for Double-Amarillo, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

Advice: De Los Santos spent the spring with the Guardians, who selected him in the Rule 5 draft, but he did not make Cleveland's roster. The 20-year-old native of the Dominican Republic picked up at Amarillo where he left off in 2023. De Los Santos was added to the development list in 2023 following a rough start, but he crushed Double-A pitching in the second half of the season, posting a .322/.340/.596 line after July 14. The power-hitting prospect made strides at the plate while with the Guardians, developing a more "major league approach," according to Amarillo manager Tim Bogar, who feels the experience in a major-league spring training camp was helpful. To become a well-rounded prospect, De Los Santos needs to work on his defense. He played both third and first base since being signed as a 16-year-old, but the organization plans to limit him to first base only going forward. Rotowire.com 50 minutes ago
  • Getting rest day
Triolo is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Triolo will take a seat for the series finale after he started in each of the past 11 games while getting on base at a .333 clip over that stretch. Alika Williams will step in at second base while Triolo rests Sunday. Rotowire.com Today, 8:45 am

  • Multi-hit effort in Saturday's win
France went 2-for-4 with two runs in a win over the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: The veteran played the table-setting role in the victory, scoring the first and final runs of the game on a Cal Raleigh double play groundout and home run, respectively. France has a pair of two-hit efforts in the last three games, but zooming further out, he's sitting on a lackluster .213/.260/.362 slash line over the 50 plate appearances covering his last 13 contests. • Anthony Rizzo sitting Sunday vs. Tigers
Anthony Rizzo is not in the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Tigers.

Advice: Rizzo will get a day off a day after hitting a three-run homer. The 34-year-old will get a break with Oswaldo Cabrera getting a start across the diamond at first base and Jon Berti handling third. Rotoworld Today, 7:32 am

  • Four hits in team debut
Arraez went 4-for-6 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Arraez wasted no time in establishing a good first impression with his new team, smacking a leadoff double on the second pitch he saw from Brandon Pfaadt in the opening frame before coming around to score San Diego's first run of the contest. The newly acquired infielder would add another three singles on the night, with the latter one leading to an eight-run seventh inning for the Padres. It marked Arraez's second game this season with four hits, and he's now registered at least one knock in seven straight. Rotowire.com Today, 7:32 am

  • Receiving Sunday off
Rizzo is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers.

Advice: Rizzo started the Yankees' first 35 games of the season but will receive his first day off Sunday, giving him two straight days of rest since a team day off follows Monday. Oswaldo Cabrera is stepping in at first base while Jon Berti starts at the hot corner. Rotowire.com Today, 7:30 am
