      Corey Seager hit a three-run homer in the eighth to lead the Rangers past the A’s 4-2 on Monday.

      Advice: The Rangers were still scoreless until Seager took Lucas Erceg deep in the eighth. They then added an insurance run in the ninth. The homer was Seager’s third in 33 games this season.       Seager went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run Monday in a 4-2 victory against Oakland.

      Advice: Texas was down 2-0 heading into the eighth frame before Seager turned the team's fortunes around with a two-out, three-run blast to center field. It was a much-needed big moment for the star shortstop, as he came into the contest batting just .190 in May and .228 overall on the season. After slugging 33 homers and driving in 96 runs last year, Seager has just three homers and 13 RBI through 33 games in 2024.       Advice: Turner told reporters that anything prior to a six-week return would “be a win.” It’s a significant blow for both fantasy managers and the Phillies — and Turner himself, of course — as the shortstop was once again playing at an elite level.       Turner (hamstring) said Saturday that he expects to miss at least six weeks with his left hamstring strain and that a return sooner than that "would be a win," Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: Turner strained his left hamstring Friday against the Cubs, and he was placed on the 10-day injured list a day later. It's a big blow for the Phillies, as Turner has been one of their most productive players at the plate this season with an .852 OPS, second on the team behind Alec Bohm. Six weeks would take Turner to a potential return in mid-June, though the star shortstop could be out until July depending on how he progresses in his rehab. Philadelphia appears set to turn to Edmundo Sosa as the primary shortstop with Turner on the shelf, and Bryson Stott could perhaps shift over from second base on occasion, though Stott hasn't made an appearance at shortstop since 2022.
