    • Whiffs 10 in win
Glasnow (6-1) earned the win over Atlanta on Saturday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk over seven innings while striking out 10.

Advice: Glasnow didn't allow a man to reach base over the first three frames before surrendering a leadoff single to Ronald Acuna in the fourth, who would later come home to score on a single from Austin Riley. The right-hander responded by striking out seven of the next 11 batters he faced, racking up double-digit strikeouts for the third time this season. Glasnow has now won each of his last three starts, going at least six innings in each of those outings while posting a 29:4 K:BB. Rotowire.com Today, 6:48 am
    • Racks up four hits Saturday
Lowe went 4-for-6 with a double, two runs and two RBI against the Royals in Saturday's 15-4 victory.

Advice: The Rangers pounded Kansas City pitching for 17 hits in the win, and Lowe was a big contributor from the No. 3 slot in the lineup with a season-high four base knocks. The first baseman began the campaign on the injured list due to a right oblique strain, but he's slid into Texas' offense comfortably since returning, reaching base safely via hit or walk in all but one of his 13 contests. Lowe is slashing .333/.418/.458 with a home run, nine runs, four RBI and a stolen base through 55 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:16 pm
    • Tyler Glasnow strikes out 10 in win over Braves
Tyler Glasnow recorded 10 strikeouts and allowed two runs over seven innings on Saturday in a win over the Braves.

Advice: Glasnow completed seven frames for the third time already this season and also notched his third double-digit strikeout performance. The dynamic 30-year-old fantasy ace generated 14 swinging strikes and finished with a 32 percent CSW. He got plenty of support from Los Angeles’ loaded lineup to cruise to his sixth win of the year. He’ll carry a stellar 2.70 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 63/13 K/BB ratio across 50 innings (eight starts) into a road tilt on Friday against the division-rival Padres. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:53 pm
    • Nathaniel Lowe posts four hits, two RBI in blowout
Nathaniel Lowe went 4-for-6 with a pair of RBI on Saturday, powering the Rangers to a lopsided 15-4 victory over the Royals.

Advice: Lowe exploded for a season-high four hits as the Rangers’ talented offensive core racked up a staggering 17 hits in this one. The 28-year-old first baseman kick-started an eventual blowout with a two-run single in the fourth inning off Royals starter Michael Wacha. The four-hit effort raises his batting average from .286 to .333 through 13 contests since missing the first few weeks of the season due to an oblique injury. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:50 pm
    • Tagged with loss Saturday
Mize (1-1) took the loss Saturday against the Yankees, coughing up five runs on nine hits and a walk over 5.1 innings. He struck out six.

Advice: A three-run shot by Anthony Rizzo in the third inning accounted for most of the damage off Mize, but the right-hander put plenty of traffic on the basepaths. It was the first time this season he'd allowed more than three runs in a start, and Mize will take a 3.98 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 24:7 K:BB through 31.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Astros. • Casey Mize surrenders five in loss to Yankees
Casey Mize gave up five runs over 5 1/3 innings with six strikeouts in a loss to the Yankees on Saturday.

Advice: Mize allowed nine hits while issuing a walk. He allowed a three-run homer to Anthony Rizzo, but he dealt with traffic throughout most of the start. The 2018 first-overall pick sees his ERA bump to 3.98, and he now possesses a 24/7 K/BB. He’ll be back on the mound when he faces the Astros on Friday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:47 pm
    • Takes big step in recovery
Cole (elbow) threw 15 pitches off a mound Saturday, Max Goodman of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.

Advice: This was Cole's first bullpen session since he was shut down from throwing in mid-March, thus it was a significant milestone as the reigning AL Cy Young Award winner works his way back to the Yankees rotation. Per Goodman, Cole was "giddy" after throwing Saturday, so it appears the session went well. The veteran right-hander is eligible to come off the IL near the end of this month, but recent reports suggest that mid-June may be a more realistic target. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:34 am

    • Spencer Torkelson moves down to seventh spot
Spencer Torkelson is hitting seventh and playing first base against the Yankees on Saturday.

Advice: Torkelson continues to move down in the lineup, and it’s easy to justify with a slash of .212/.282/.288 over 132 plate appearances. The first-overall pick in 2020 was excellent in the second-half of the 2023 campaign, but that hasn’t carried over whatsoever in 2024. Fantasy managers in redraft leagues should be searching for a potential replacement if they haven’t cut bait already. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:34 am
    • Cole (elbow) throws 15 pitches in bullpen session
Gerrit Cole (elbow) threw 15 pitches in a bullpen session Saturday.

Advice: It’s the first session for Cole since March when the right-hander was shut down with nerve inflammation in his right elbow. The next step is likely another session in the pen for the 33-year-old, but it’s a positive sign with Cole reportedly “giddy” over how things went. The hope is that he can return to the mound in the middle of June. So far, so good. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:21 am
