    • Set for season debut Wednesday
      Yankees manager Aaron Boone confirmed Monday that Cole (elbow) will be activated from the 60-day injured list to make his season debut Wednesday against the Orioles, Jorge Castillo of ESPN.com reports.

      Advice: Cole has been lights out on his rehab assignment, yielding one earned run with a 19:0 K:BB over 12.1 innings covering three starts. In his final rehab outing this past Friday with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Cole struck out 10 while allowing just one unearned run across 4.1 frames. The right-hander has been out all season after being diagnosed in mid-March with nerve irritation and edema in his right elbow.     • Back from injured list
      The Phillies activated Turner (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Monday. He'll start at shortstop and bat second in his return to the lineup for Monday's series opener versus the Padres.

      Advice: Turner rejoins the first-place Phillies following a six-week absence with a strained left hamstring. He didn't go out on a rehab assignment prior to being activated, so it's possible Turner will some extra off days mixed in as he returns to action. Edmundo Sosa performed well as Turner's main replacement at shortstop and will most likely return to a bench role, though the Phillies have discussed the possibility of getting him some reps in the outfield.     • Trea Turner officially back from the IL
      Phillies activated SS Trea Turner from the 10-day injured list.

      Advice: The move was reported on Sunday and is now official. Turner didn’t make any rehab appearances but should be slotted back into lineups to make use of his full week of production. He may not steal as many bases right away in the aftermath of the hamstring injury, but hopefully that speed production will tick back up in the weeks ahead.       Tucker (lower leg) may require a rehab assignment, MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Manager Joe Espada relayed that Tucker is feeling better, including doing some work in the weight room. However, Espada also added that if Tucker isn't able to begin running within the next few days he will require a rehab assignment before being activated.     • Rafael Devers plates two as Red Sox top Yankees
      Rafael Devers went 1-for-3 and drove in a pair of runs on Sunday night as the Red Sox triumphed over the Yankees.

      Advice: Devers delivered a sacrifice fly off of Marcus Stroman in the fourth inning that extended the Red Sox’ early lead to 4-1. He then added a valuable insurance run in the seventh with an RBI single that plated Jarren Duran to make it a 5-3 game. Devers then raced around to score on Connor Wong’s two-run triple.     • Corbin Carroll doesn’t think injury is serious
      Corbin Carroll (ribs) told reporters after Sunday’s game that he doesn’t believe his rib injury is serious.

      Advice: He’ll undergo a precautionary MRI exam in Arizona on Monday before traveling to join the team in Washington. Carroll said he felt much better after Sunday’s game though, and is optimistic that he won’t have to miss any time. We’ll have to wait and see what Monday’s imaging yields.     • Earns league-leading 24th save
      Helsley allowed two walks during a scoreless ninth inning to pick up the save Sunday against the Cubs. He struck out one.

      Advice: Helsley tossed just 11 of 23 pitches for strikes and started behind in the count to four of five batters he faced but still managed to finish off the game for the Cardinals when a drive to the gap by pinch-hitter Patrick Wisdom with two on was snagged by Brendan Donovan to preserve the win. It was another shaky outing for Helsley, who has struggled recently with his command, walking four over his last two appearances. Despite the recent trouble, he maintains an ERA of 2.53 and has converted each of his last 24 save opportunities, last blowing a save March 30 during his first appearance of the season.     • Set for MRI on Monday
      Carroll (side) will undergo an MRI in Phoenix on Monday, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.

      Advice: Carroll left Sunday's 12-5 win over the White Sox in the seventh inning with left side discomfort, and he will now require some additional imaging. The Diamondbacks will begin a three-game series on the road against the Nationals on Tuesday, and with Carroll staying in Arizona for the MRI on Monday, it's possible that he's forced to miss at least one contest.       Corbin Carroll will remain in Arizona to get an MRI exam after leaving Sunday’s game with rib cage discomfort.

      Advice: The 23-year-old outfielder sustained the injury while making a throw from the outfield during Sunday’s game. While the exact nature and severity of the injury are not yet known, the fact that he’s heading for an MRI exam isn’t encouraging.
