    • Reaches base four times
Abrams (wrist) went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored, an RBI, a stolen base and a walk in Friday's win over the Rockies.

Advice: Abrams returned to the lineup after missing the previous two games and wasted no time making an impact, ripping a double on the first pitch of the game. He knocked an RBI double later in the game. The 23-year-old shortstop is heating up again; he's gone 13-for-28 (.464) with six extra-base hits over his last eight games. In 12 games prior to that, he posted a .510 OPS with no multi-hit performances. Abrams is now slashing .267/.320/.487 with 33 extra-base hits and 11 steals. Rotowire.com 9 minutes ago

    • Fernando Tatis Jr. leaves game after hit by pitch
Fernando Tatis Jr. was pulled from Friday night’s battle against the Brewers after he was hit by a pitch on his left elbow.

Advice: The 25-year-old superstar remained in the game to run the bass for himself and even played another couple of innings in the field, but he was ultimately lifted for a pinch-hitter the next time that his spot came around in the Padres’ lineup. He’ll presumably head for X-rays to rule out any potential fractures. Stay tuned, as the Padres should have an update on his status after the game. Rotoworld 40 minutes ago

    • Exits after HBP
Tatis was removed from Friday's game against the Brewers after being hit by a pitch on the elbow, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Tatis was hit by the pitch in the third inning, though he stayed in the contest for two more frames before being pinch-hit for. There are no further details available at this time. Rotowire.com 42 minutes ago

    • Wins with quality start
Eovaldi (4-3) yielded two runs on four hits and a walk over six innings Friday, striking out six and earning a win over the Royals.

Advice: Eovaldi coughed up a solo shot to Kyle Isbel in the third inning and gave up one other run in the fifth. Since returning from the injured list, Eovaldi has produced a 4.01 ERA while going 2-1 through five starts. He's turned in two quality starts in his last three outings and forced 15 whiffs Friday, his best total since April 20. The veteran righty owns a 3.14 ERA with a 70:25 K:BB through 66 innings this season. Eovaldi's next start is lined up to be in Baltimore. Rotowire.com Today, 8:01 pm
    • Marcus Semien plates three runs to lead Rangers
Marcus Semien delivered a bases-clearing three-run double in the sixth inning on Friday night, propelling the Rangers to a 6-2 victory over the visiting Royals.

Advice: The Rangers had just taken the lead as Jonah Heim plated a run with a fielder’s choice. Semien then followed by smacking a two-out, three-run double off of Sammy Long to break the game wide open. It was the only hit of the game in four at-bats for Semien, but it proved to be the difference-maker. On the season, the 33-year-old infielder is now hitting .252/.319/.419 with 11 homers, 43 RBI and three stolen bases. Rotoworld Today, 7:50 pm

    • Nathan Eovaldi fans six in victory over the Royals
Nathan Eovaldi snagged his fourth victory of the season on Friday night, limiting the Royals to two runs on four hits over his six innings of work.

Advice: The 34-year-old right-hander punched out six batters on the night while allowing two walks. He served up a solo homer to Kyle Isbel in the third inning and an RBI single to Garrett Hampson in the fifth but was able to limit the damage otherwise. Eovaldi got 14 swings and misses on 98 pitches on the evening, posting a CSW of 27 percent. He’ll see if he can keep the good times rolling as he carries a 3.14 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and a 70/25 K/BB ratio (66 innings) into Wednesday’s battle against the Brewers in Milwaukee. • Chris Sale stifles Yankees, earns win
Chris Sale struck out eight Yankees and allowed just one run across five innings in an 8-1 win on Friday. He walked three while the Yankees had just one hit.

Advice: Sale was on one in this start. Aaron Judge and Juan Soto were a combined 0-for-4 with four punch outs against the gangly left-hander and just two Yankees reached second base. More notable, Sale’s velocity was up nearly two ticks across the board. His fastball topped out at 98.4 MPH, the fastest he’s thrown a pitch in more than 13 months. Healthy, dominant, fiery, Sale looks like his old self and a bona fide Cy Young candidate so far this season. Rotoworld Today, 7:30 pm
    • Trea Turner hits first home run off IL
Trea Turner went 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBI in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Friday.

Advice: Turner has hit safely in all three games since returning from his hamstring injury yet this home run was his first extra-base hit. He smacked it 110.6 MPH off the bat, two MPH harder than he’s hit a ball all season. That’s a welcome sight because his power lagged before the injury with just three home runs in April before going down. Rotoworld Today, 7:19 pm

    • Homers, drives in three in loss
Turner went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in a 5-4 loss to the Diamondbacks on Friday.

Advice: Turner hit a two-run home run off Jordan Montgomery in the third inning then added an RBI single with the bases loaded in the seventh. Turner has gone 5-for-14 since returning from the injured list with a hamstring injury, and the homer was his first since April 17. He has been excellent when healthy this season, slashing .344/.389/.470 with three home runs, 12 RBI, 29 runs scored and 10 steals over 162 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 7:19 pm
