      Advice: The 22-year-old shortstop gave Grayson Rodriguez and the Orioles bullpen all the offense they would need when he took Clarke Schmidt deep in the first inning. Henderson has gone yard four times in the last six games, giving him 10 homers on the season -- tied with Mike Trout for the MLB lead.       Gunnar Henderson went 1-for-3 with a leadoff home run in Monday’s game against the Yankees.

      Advice: Henderson got the O’s on the board early in the first frame with a solo shot that was 112.3 MPH off the bat, making it his hardest hit home run this season. It’s the 22-year-old’s 10th home run and third leadoff home run this season. The reigning AL Rookie of the Year has been even better slashing .289/.352/.632 through 28 games in 2024.       Jazz Chisolm Jr. went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in a loss to the Nationals on Monday.

      Advice: Déjà vu. Jazz has homered in back-to-back games. The 26-year-old got Miami on the board in the sixth inning when he took Jake Irvin’s fastball 414 feet to deep center field. Chisolm got off to a slow start this season, where he saw his batting average as low as .130 seven games into the season.       The Rockies are expected to place Jones (back) on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports.

      Advice: Zahlmann notes that outfield prospect Jordan Beck is on track to receive a call-up from Triple-A Albuquerque, and given that he suffered a setback with his lingering back injury in Sunday's 8-2 loss to the Astros, Jones is an obvious candidate to come off the 26-man active roster in a corresponding move. Jones has been removed from games twice within the past week due to back stiffness, so it makes sense for the Rockies to get out in front of the issue and put him on the shelf for at least the next week and a half so he can rest up and recover. After a breakout 20-20 campaign with the Rockies in 2023, Jones has struggled mightily over the first month of the 2024 season, slashing just .170/.243/.277 while contributing one home run and two stolen bases over 103 plate appearances.       Stott went 2-for-3 with two home runs, four RBI, three runs and a steal in Sunday's win over the Padres.

      Advice: Stott homered in each of his first two at-bats. He opened up the scoring with a two-run blast in the second and mirrored that with another two-run shot in the fourth. He later reached on a fielder's choice in the eighth and swiped second before eventually coming around to score. Stott has found his bat as of late, tallying eight RBI over his last five games, though he still seems to be stuck on the strong side of a platoon.       Gilbert did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Diamondbacks. He allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out nine in 6.1 innings.

      Advice: Gilbert allowed an early solo home run to Christian Walker in the second. He was then able to keep the Diamondbacks off the scoreboard until Eugenio Suarez doubled home another run in the seventh to even things up at 2-2, ultimately knocking Gilbert from the game and spoiling his chance at a win. Still, it was another excellent outing from the 27-year-old. His nine strikeouts were a season-high and he's managed to go at least six innings and all but one start so far.       Advice: Jones has battled back stiffness since Tuesday and was forced to miss two games with the issue. After managing to play the entirety of Saturday's contest, Jones was back in the starting lineup Sunday but was forced to exit early after going 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored. Chisholm, who entered the game with just two hits in his previous 13 at-bats, ended a 17-game homerless drought with the first-inning bomb.
