      Advice: Trouble seemed to be brewing in the ninth for Kimbrel as he issued a leadoff walk to Amed Rosario, his first free pass allowed since May 8. However, the veteran closer collected himself, punching out two batters before wrapping up the Baltimore win by inducing a Jose Caballero popup.       Craig Kimbrel tossed a scoreless frame on Monday against the Rays to collect his 15th save of the season.

      Advice: Kimbrel got the call to protect a three-run lead in the final frame and managed to work around a leadoff walk to Amed Rosario by striking out Jose Siri and Richie Palacios before coaxing a game-ending pop up from José Caballero. The 36-year-old veteran stopper has righted the ship over the last few weeks since reclaiming Baltimore’s closer role back in mid-May by converting second consecutive save opportunities since May 19.       Kimbrel worked a perfect ninth inning Friday to record his 14th save of the season in a 6-3 win over the Rays. He didn't walk or strike out a batter.

      Advice: The veteran closer let his defense do the work, getting outs on a flyball, a groundball and a popup in foul territory. Kimbrel hasn't been tagged with an earned run in 10 straight appearances, converting all six of his save chances during that stretch with a 10:0 K:BB as he puts his early season struggles behind him.       Romero (3-1) struck out one and hit one batter in a scoreless inning to earn the win over the Rockies on Friday.

      Advice: After his Monday meltdown versus the Astros, Romero has bounced back with a pair of scoreless outings. There's been little reason to worry about the southpaw this year, as he's pitched to a 1.97 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 32:4 K:BB over 32 innings. He's added 19 holds and two blown saves while operating in a setup role ahead of closer Ryan Helsley. Romero's impressive numbers have been fueled by his slider, which he's thrown 33.5 percent of the time.       Helsley picked up the save in Friday's 8-5 victory over Colorado. He pitched a perfect inning with two strikeouts.

      Advice: Helsley handily retired all three batters faced in his third consecutive scoreless outing to gather his league-leading 21st save. The Cardinals closer has been stellar, suffering just one blown save in his 28 total appearances.       Crochet (5-4) yielded two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks over six innings Friday, striking out 10 and earning a win over the Red Sox.

      Advice: Crochet gave up a pair of runs in the third inning but only one was earned due to his own throwing error. He's produced quality starts in four straight appearances and six of his last seven. Crochet generated 17 whiffs and racked up double-digit strikeouts for the fourth time this season. Since April 29, he's produced a ridiculous 1.37 ERA with a 63:9 K:BB in eight starts. Crochet will carry a 3.33 ERA into his next start, which is expected to be in Seattle next week.       Garrett Crochet yielded two runs — one earned — and struck out 10 in six innings as the White Sox defeated the Red Sox 7-2 to snap a 14-game losing streak.

      Advice: The White Sox’s previous win also, not coincidentally, came in a Crochet start on May 21. He has six of the White Sox’s 16 victories on the year.       Ryan Helsley converted a save while not allowing a run during Friday’s game against the Rockies.

      Advice: Helsley breezed through his inning with a pair of strikeouts and needed just 11 pitches to pick up his 21st save of the season.       Advice: The save was Kimbrel’s 14th of the season and came on the heels of him taking the loss in his last appearance against the Blue Jays on Wednesday. That wasn’t a save opportunity, though.
