    • Brandon Lowe on bench again Friday
Brandon Lowe (toe) isn’t starting for Friday’s game against the Nationals.

Advice: Lowe hasn’t played since June 22nd after breaking his pinkie toe. He also battled an illness earlier this week. Tampa Bay is also facing a left-hander starter in Mitchell Parker. The Rays haven’t put Lowe on the IL yet so hopefully he can return to the lineup soon. Jose Caballero will get the start at second base and bat seventh on Friday. • India stays red hot with two-hit game Thursday
Jonathan India went 2-for-4 with a run scored, a double and an RBI against the Cardinals on Thursday.

Advice: India started the game with a single and scored on Elly De La Cruz’s RBI triple. In the second inning, he had an RBI double to give the Reds a 2-0 lead. India is now on a nine-game hitting streak and he’s 17-for-33 (.515) in that stretch. In June, he’s 30-for-80 (.375) with 18 runs scored and 14 RBI in 24 games. India’s average is up to .272 on the season with a .771 OPS and 32 RBI.

    • Excellent in doubleheader
Kelenic went 6-for-9 with a home run, four RBI and one stolen base over both games of Wednesday's doubleheader versus the Cardinals.

Advice: Kelenic knocked in half of Atlanta's runs in the matinee games, and he added an RBI single for their lone run in the nightcap. The outfielder has enjoyed a strong June, going 25-for-78 (.321) with five homers, 13 RBI and three steals over 21 contests this month. He's up to a .282/.321/.459 slash line with eight long balls, 25 RBI, three steals, 24 runs scored and 11 doubles through 65 games on the year. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:38 pm

    • Jarred Kelenic collects three hits against Braves
Jarred Kelenic went 3-for-4 with a run scored against the Cardinals on Wednesday.

Advice: After slugging a homer in the first game of Wednesday’s doubleheader against the Cardinals, Kelenic collected three more hits in the second game. His base hit in the eighth inning drove in the only run of the game for Atlanta. The 24-year-old outfielder has performed well since taking over the leadoff spot. He’s slashing .279/.318/.457 with eight homers and three steals across 223 plate appearances. Rotoworld Wednesday, 6:39 pm

    • Jarred Kelenic goes 3-for-5, homers in Braves’ win
Jarred Kelenic went 3-for-5 with a homer, three RBI and a steal in the Braves’ 6-2 victory over the Cardinals in the first game of Wednesday’s doubleheader.

Advice: We’re still not all in on the Kelenaissance here, but the 24-year-old should continue to offer mixed-league value while leading off regularly for the Braves. The homer today was his eighth in his last 38 games (and eighth in 64 games for the year). Rotoworld Wednesday, 2:45 pm

    • Jonathan India stays hot with two more hits in loss
Jonathan India went 2-for-4 with an RBI double on Wednesday in the Reds’ loss to the Pirates.

Advice: India was responsible for manufacturing Cincinnati’s lone extra-base hit and run of the contest on Wednesday afternoon as they were unable to solve Luis Ortiz over six frames to open the game before relievers Kyle Nicolas and Aroldis Chapman came out of the bullpen to slam the door. It’s flown a bit under the radar, but India is playing some of the best ball of his career at the moment, batting .365 (35-for-96) with three homers, 20 RBI and four steals over his last 30 games. • Exits rehab game with injury
Mitchell (finger) was removed from Wednesday's rehab game with Triple-A Nashville with an apparent left hamstring injury, Jack Stern of Brewer Fanatic reports.

Advice: Mitchell appeared to grab at the hamstring following a swing in the ninth inning of the contest. He is on a rehab assignment while coming back from a fractured finger and had seemed close to returning, but the hamstring injury could now delay things. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 1:09 pm

    • Sitting out Wednesday
Massey is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's contest against the Marlins.

Advice: Massey started the first two games of the series at designated hitter upon his activation from the 10-day injured list, but he will begin the Wednesday afternoon tilt on the bench. Vinnie Pasquantino will serve as the Royals' DH on Wednesday while Salvador Perez gets a start at first base. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:11 am
