      Corbin came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Diamondbacks, allowing one run on three hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out seven.

      Advice: The veteran lefty established a season high in strikeouts despite tossing only 53 of 90 pitches for strikes, but Corbin left the mound with the Nats in a 1-0 hole before they took the lead for good in the bottom of the sixth inning. He's given up three earned runs or less in four of his last five starts, and while his 4.23 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 23:11 K:BB through 27.2 innings over that stretch aren't particularly impressive, they represent a big improvement on his season-long numbers.       Advice: Manaea gave up just one run through five frames but ran into trouble in the sixth. In that frame, a two-out Josh Smith double narrowed New York's lead to one and resulted in Manaea getting the hook. Reliever Sean Reid-Foley followed by allowing his inherited runner to score, taking Manaea out of contention for a victory.       Advice: Heaney induced 15 swinging strikes in the outing, helping him reach a season-high nine punchouts. The left-hander's strong start was somewhat spoiled by a Pete Alonso two-run homer in the sixth, but Heaney still completed that frame to finish with his fourth quality start of the campaign. The veteran hurler is just 2-8 on the season, but he's offered some stability at the back of Texas' rotation by giving up three or fewer earned runs in each of his past 10 appearances, posting a 3.26 ERA across 49.2 frames during that span.       Liberatore allowed two runs on three hits and a walk while striking out one over 3.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Marlins on Wednesday.

      Advice: Liberatore was pressed into a spot start after Kyle Gibson (back) was a late scratch. This was one day after Liberatore was charged with a blown save after allowing a run in two-thirds of an inning. The southpaw yielded solo home runs to Bryan De La Cruz and Jesus Sanchez in the first inning. Liberatore has a 4.46 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 28:15 K:BB over 38.1 innings over 26 appearances (four starts) this season, though he's mainly operated out of the bullpen as the Cardinals have tried to find one steady role for him.       Andrew Heaney allowed three earned runs in six innings against the Mets on Wednesday. He struck out nine and walked two in a no-decision.

      Advice: Heaney has sneakily been decent this season - go figure it’s the first year he wasn’t listed in every sleeper and breakout list. He simplified his repertoire in this one with season-high 91% of his pitches being either a fastball or slider, a season-high. It worked here as the Mets could not figure him out.       Sean Manaea allowed three earned runs in 5 2/3 innings on Wednesday against the Rangers. He struck out six and walked three in a loss.

      Advice: Manaea had a no-hitter going in this one through five innings and retired 14 straight after a shaky first inning. Yet, his inability to get through a lineup for the third time did him and the Mets in.       Jakob Junis (shoulder, head) will join the Brewers in San Diego for their weekend series against the Padres.

      Advice: It has yet to be determined whether Junis will work as a starter or as a reliever, but he’s finally ready to rejoin the team after missing more than two months with a right shoulder impingement and a head injury that he suffered when he was struck by a batted ball during batting practice.
