    • Diagnosed with bruised ankle
Pfaadt left Saturday's game against the Padres due to a left ankle contusion.

Advice: Pfaadt was hit in the ankle by a 98 mph comebacker in the fifth inning of his start and was immediately removed. The Diamondbacks have labeled the injury a bruised left ankle but expect Pfaadt to continue to be evaluated in the coming days. His next start is projected to come Thursday against Atlanta. • Brandon Pfaadt exits after being hit by comebacker
Brandon Pfaadt was pulled from Saturday’s start against the Padres in the fifth inning after taking a 98-mph comebacker off the bat of Luis Arraez off of his left foot/ankle.

Advice: He’ll presumably head for X-rays to see if there’s any structural damage. Prior to exiting, Pfaadt had allowed just one run on seven hits while punching out six opposing batters over his 4 1/3 innings of work. He also had a 2-1 advantage and lost his shot at a victory with his early removal. The Diamondbacks should have an update on his status before the night is through. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:20 pm
    • Hit by comebacker, leaves game
Pfaadt was removed from Saturday's game against the Padres after being struck in the foot by a comebacker in the fifth inning, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Advice: Luis Arraez hit a 98 mph comebacker at Pfaadt that ended up hitting the 25-year-old pitcher in the left foot/ankle area. Pfaadt allowed one run on seven hits and no walks with six strikeouts over 4.1 innings prior to exiting. The Diamondbacks will likely send Pfaadt in for imaging and we should know more about his health postgame. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:15 pm
    • Trea Turner plates lone run in loss to Braves
Trea Turner went 1-for-4 and drove in the Phillies’ lone run in Saturday night’s loss to the Braves.

Advice: Turner got the Phillies on the board with a run-scoring single off of Spencer Schwellenbach in the third inning that plated Johan Rojas. That would be all of the offense that they could muster in the contest. The 31-year-old shortstop has been terrific when he has been on the field this season, hitting .340/.383/.505 with seven homers, 23 RBI and 11 stolen bases in 50 games. • Sitting again Saturday
Polanco isn't in Seattle's lineup Saturday versus the Blue Jays.

Advice: Saturday will mark the third consecutive absence from the lineup for Polanco, with Dylan Moore starting at second base for the second game in a row. The 31-year-old Polanco has put up a career-low .576 OPS through 208 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:23 am

    • Out against LHP
Lowe isn't in the Rays' lineup for Saturday's game against the Rangers, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Southpaw Andrew Heaney will start on the mound for Texas, so the left-handed bat of Lowe will begin Saturday's contest on the bench, opening up right field for Jonny DeLuca. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:00 am

    • Josh Lowe on bench Saturday against southpaw
Josh Lowe is not in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Rangers.

Advice: Rays manager Kevin Cash is rolling with an all right-handed lineup on Saturday afternoon against Rangers southpaw Andrew Heaney, which means Lowe will start this one on the bench. The 26-year-old corner outfielder is batting .259 (14-for-54) with three homers and six steals over his last 15 contests. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:35 am

    • Getting breather Saturday
Morel isn't in the Cubs' lineup Saturday against the Angels.

Advice: Morel has put together a three-game hitting streak, though he has also struck out six times in 12 at-bats over that span. He'll take a day to rest Saturday while David Bote fills in at third base, batting eighth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:54 am

    • Jose Altuve out Saturday with left hand contusion
Jose Altuve (hand) is absent from the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Twins.

Advice: The positive news here for fantasy managers is that X-rays came back negative after Altuve was hit by a pitch on the left hand during Friday’s game against the Twins. The 34-year-old veteran second baseman is day-to-day for now and will get some extra time off this weekend to rest and recover. It sounds like there’s a possibility he’ll return for Sunday’s series finale at Target Field. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:41 am
