      Lowe went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during Thursday's 7-5 win over the Red Sox.

      Advice: Lowe has generated at least one hit in all eight starts since coming off the IL and tallied his second homer in the Boston series Thursday. He tagged Cooper Criswell for a two-run shot in the third inning to put the Rays ahead 3-1. Lowe owns a .957 OPS in 38 plate appearances this season with four runs scored.       Josh Lowe went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI against the Red Sox on Thursday.



      Advice: It was Lowe’s second home run of the season. He hit an 0-2 pitch from Cooper Criswell into the right field bullpen that looked like it could’ve been caught by outfielder Wilyer Abreu. Lowe started the season on the IL, but he’s now hitting .294 with a .956 OPS. He really just needs to stay healthy for another big season.

      Ian Happ went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Pirates on Thursday.



      Advice: The homer was just Happ’s second of the year. It has undeniably been a down year for the 29-year-old outfielder. His power has cratered as his ISO is just .100 compared to his career .198 ISO. Most of Happ’s utility comes from playing everyday. He’s played 158 games in each of the last two seasons. Last season was his best year as he was able to compile 21 home runs, 86 runs scored, 84 RBI, and 14 stolen bases. He won’t be able to reach those numbers this season, but his $20 million average annual value should still keep him in the lineup everyday.

      Turner (hamstring) went through a workout at Citizens Bank Park for the second straight day Thursday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: Turner went through agility drills and took grounders on the field and also hit in the indoor batting cage. While the Phillies are not ready to say the shortstop is progressing from his left hamstring strain ahead of schedule, it sure seems like he might be.       Trea Turner (hamstring) went through agility drills on Thursday at Citizens Bank Park.

      Advice: Turner has goen through a full workout, which also includes hitting and fielding grounders, on back-to-back days, which is notable since he’s just under two weeks removed from suffering a left hamstring strain. The 30-year-old shortstop was originally expected to miss six weeks, but it sounds like he’s going to beat that original estimate by a considerable margin, which is good news for the Phillies and fantasy managers.     • Homers in Wednesday's loss
      Goldschmidt went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's 7-2 loss to the Angels.

      Advice: Goldschmidt is on a five-game hitting streak, having gone 7-for-23 (.304) with two homers and four RBI in that span. The burst of offense has doubled his homer total for the year to four, and he's up to 15 RBI, 20 runs scored, two stolen bases and three doubles while slashing .206/.291/.300 across 41 contests. Goldschmidt sat out a game just prior to his current streak, so it appears the mental reset is paying off in the short term, though his counting stats are unlikely to improve much if the team around him doesn't collectively start hitting better.       Varsho went 0-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base in Wednesday's loss to the Orioles.

      Advice: Batting second once again, Varsho stole his fifth base of the season in the fifth inning but was left stranded at third base in an eventual 3-2 loss. The 27-year-old is struggling to produce consistent contact -- he's batting only .150 (6-for-40) in May -- but over half of Varsho's 27 hits on the season have gone for extra bases, as he has eight doubles and seven homers.       Pfaadt came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Reds, allowing one run on two hits and two walks over seven innings. He struck out nine.

      Advice: The right-hander generated 30 called or swinging strikes on 93 pitches in one of his best performances of the season, and his only real mistake resulted in a Santiago Espinal solo shot in the fifth inning. Pfaadt extended his quality start streak to four with the effort, a stretch in which he's posted a 3.24 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 24:4 K:BB through 25 innings.
