    • Two hits, stolen base in loss
Alvarez went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Alvarez recorded a base hit in the top of the fourth before coming around to score Houston's only run of the contest on an RBI single from Jake Meyers. The outfielder would add another single in his next at-bat, giving him back-to-back multi-hit games, while also going on to swipe a bag for the second game in a row. Alvarez has now posted 10 multi-hit games this month and has nine extra-base hits in the stretch. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:22 am

    • Steals first base of 2024
Bellinger went 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 10-6 loss to the Brewers. He also stole a base.

Advice: The stolen base was notable because it's the first of the season for Bellinger, though he did miss some time with a fractured ribcage, which could have cut into his running. He had a career-high 20 steals last year as he reached the 20-20 plateau for the first time in seven MLB campaigns. Bellinger hasn't been quite as effective so far in 2024, though he's batting a solid .262 with a .774 OPS, and the 28-year-old has the talent to start racking up the counting stats in a hurry. • Swipes bag in loss
Alvarez went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Alvarez was just one of two Astros to have more than one hit on the evening and he recorded his second steal of the year in the sixth. Alvarez now has four multi-hit efforts in his last eight games and nine total for the month of May. For the season, the 27-year-old is slashing .269/.347/.447 with nine homers, 22 RBI, 27 runs and a 41:23 K:BB in 236 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 4:16 am

    • Sitting down for nightcap
Martinez isn't in the Mets' lineup for the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Dodgers, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Advice: After a 1-for-4 effort in Game 1, Martinez will get a breather to conclude Tuesday's activities. DJ Stewart will instead get the nod as New York's DH and bat fourth. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 4:32 pm

    • Bellinger has two-hit game Monday
Cody Bellinger went 2-for-4 against the Brewers on Monday.

Advice: It was a quiet day for the Cubs offense as they could only muster one run. Bellinger, however, has been hot at the plate since a slow start early this season. He’s 31-for-104 (.298) since April 13th.

    • Launches ninth homer
Tatis went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in Saturday's loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Tatis provided the only offense for San Diego on Saturday, launching a solo shot off Luke Weaver in the bottom of the eighth for his ninth home run of the season. The star outfielder has hit safely in seven of his last nine games, though he hasn't registered more than two hits in either of those contests and is still batting just .253 (22-for-87) in May. Tatis has scored and driven in a run in three of his last four games. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:34 am
    • Tatis crushes ninth home run Saturday
Fernando Tatis Jr. went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Yankees on Saturday.

Advice: Tatis Jr. homered on a fly ball to center in the eighth inning off Yankees reliever Luke Weaver. It was his ninth home run on the season and the only run the Padres scored on the night. Tatis has been productive with nine home runs and six stolen bases this year, but his average is lagging behind at .244. Rotoworld Saturday, 9:50 pm
    • Sitting down Saturday
Pages isn't in the Dodgers' lineup for Saturday's game against the Reds.

Advice: Pages' single Friday broke an 0-for-12 skid at the plate, though he is still slashing just .200/.235/.325 across 85 plate appearances since the beginning of May. He'll get a day to regroup Saturday while Chris Taylor makes his first start of the year in center field, batting ninth. Rotowire.com Saturday, 2:04 pm

    • Andy Pages not in Dodgers lineup on Saturday
Andy Pages is not in the Dodgers’ starting lineup for Saturday’s showdown against the Reds.

Advice: The 23-year-old rookie outfielder has been fighting it at the plate over his last 17 games — hitting a paltry .148/.197/.213 with one homer, four RBI and a 23/4 K/BB ratio over 66 plate appearances. Hopefully a day off to clear his head will help the cause. Chris Taylor will start in his place in center field and will bat ninth for the Dodgers against Hunter Greene and the Reds.
