    • Collects third win
Jones (3-4) picked up the win over the Cubs on Thursday, allowing three runs on seven hits while striking out seven over six innings.

Advice: Jones allowed hits in four of his six innings of work, including a solo homer off the bat of Ian Happ to lead off the second. However, the right-hander still managed to log his third consecutive quality start while also posting at least seven strikeouts for the seventh time in nine outings this season. Jones produced 15 swings and misses on the night, though his seven hits allowed marked a season high. He's won just two of his last six decisions despite carrying a 2.89 ERA on the campaign. • Jones with another quality start Thursday
Jared Jones allowed three earned runs, struck out seven in six innings and picked up the win in the Pirates’ 5-4 victory against the Cubs on Thursday.

Advice: Jones was top notch once again and earned his third win of the season. He induced 15 whiffs and had a 29 percent CSW on the night. His ERA is 2.89 on the season. Jones is pretty easily a top 20 starting pitcher for the rest of the season. The 22-year-old right-hander is set to face the Giants at home in his next start.

    • Cleared to start Sunday
Lopez (back) is slated to start Sunday's game against the Padres in Atlanta, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Advice: The right-hander dealt with back tightness in his most recent start Monday against the Cubs and was lifted after five scoreless innings, but he's apparently feeling better two days later. Assuming he's able to make it out of his between-starts bullpen session without incident, Lopez shouldn't face any major workload restrictions when he toes the rubber Sunday. After spending most of the last two seasons as a reliever, Lopez has exceeded expectations with his move to a starting role in his first year in Atlanta, going 2-1 with a 1.34 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 40:16 K:BB in 40.1 innings through his first seven outings. • Strikes out nine in no-decision
Kikuchi didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against Baltimore, allowing one run on six hits and a walk in 4.1 innings. He struck out nine.

Advice: Kikuchi needed 88 pitches to record 11 outs, though he limited Baltimore to one run on Jordan Westburg's lead-off homer in the first while recording nine strikeouts for the third time this season. Kikuchi had gone at least six innings in his previous six starts -- he's 2-3 on the year with a 2.60 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 55:10 K:BB across 52 innings. The left-hander is currently on track to face the White Sox at home in his next start. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 2:15 pm
    • Optimistic for minimum IL stay
Lodolo, who was placed on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with a left groin strain, is hopeful that he'll require only a minimum-length stay on the shelf, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The southpaw revealed that he pitched with the injury during his most recent start Saturday in San Francisco, but he was hoping to make enough progress to take his next turn during the Reds' four-game series in Los Angeles. That ultimately didn't come to pass, and the decision was made to put him on the IL. If Lodolo is able to return in the minimum 15 days, he could return to the Cincinnati rotation as soon as May 27 versus the Cardinals. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 2:04 pm

    • Goes four innings vs. Toronto
Bradish did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the Blue Jays, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over four innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Both runs against Bradish came on a Bo Bichette double in the third inning. The right-hander was pulled after throwing 85 pitches, as the Orioles continue to limit Bradish's pitch count after he missed the first month of the season with a strained UCL. The 27-year-old Bradish sports a 2.63 ERA with a 1.31 WHIP and 17:6 K:BB across his first three starts (13.2 innings) this season. He's currently lined up for a road matchup with the Cardinals early next week. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 1:51 pm

    • Kyle Bradish lifted after four versus Blue Jays
Kyle Bradish was lifted after allowing two runs in four innings Wednesday versus the Blue Jays.

Advice: Bradish had a quick first, but everything afterwards was a slog; it took him 75 pitches to get his last nine outs after he needed just 10 to get the first three. Bradish still hasn’t pitched more than five innings in three starts since returning from an elbow injury, but he has a 2.63 ERA and the Orioles have prevailed in each of his outings. • Yusei Kikuchi strikes out nine against Orioles
Yusei Kikuchi fanned nine while allowing one run in 4 1/3 innings Wednesday against the Orioles.

Advice: The Jays might have preferred more length from Kikuchi today, though going to the pen early didn’t hurt them at all; the middle-relief corps pitched 3 2/3 scoreless innings before Jordan Romano blew the game in the ninth. This matches Kikuchi’s shortest start of the year. He has a 2.60 ERA and a 55/10 K/BB through nine starts. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:14 pm
    • Lands on IL with groin strain
The Reds placed Lodolo on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with a left groin strain.

Advice: It's not clear whether Lodolo was injured during his most recent start Saturday versus the Giants or sometime since then, but either way, he's going to be on the shelf at least for the next couple weeks. The left-hander has been excellent this season, posting a 3.34 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 43:9 K:BB through 35 innings over six starts. Nick Martinez would appear to be the most likely candidate to fill Lodolo's spot in the rotation, which comes up again Thursday versus the Dodgers. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:11 am
