    • Strikes out nine in win
Crawford (3-6) allowed three runs on three hits and a walk while striking out nine over six innings to earn the win Sunday over the Yankees.

Advice: Crawford had given up at least four runs in five of his last six starts, but he was able to turn in a strong performance Sunday. He allowed solo home runs to Aaron Judge and Jose Trevino, but Crawford's nine strikeouts were a season high, and he snapped a four-start losing streak. The right-hander is at a 3.54 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 88:26 K:BB through 86.1 innings over 15 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start on the road in Cincinnati. • Gets sixth save Sunday
Jax allowed a hit and struck out one in a scoreless inning to earn the save in an 8-7 win over the Athletics in Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader.

Advice: Jax hadn't logged a save since May 10, but he received the opportunity to do so Sunday after Jhoan Duran closed out the matinee game. While the two relievers initially shared closing duties early in May, Duran has been the Twins' main closer for about a month while Jax has settled into a setup role. Jax has been excellent all year with a 2.30 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 43:8 K:BB with six saves, 12 holds and two blown saves over 31.1 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 8:56 pm

    • Struggles in nightcap
Paddack allowed five runs on five hits and a walk while failing to strike out a batter over 2.1 innings, taking a no-decision in Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader versus the Athletics.

Advice: Paddack had his shortest outing of the year after twice allowing the Athletics to counter the Twins' early offense. Over his last seven outings, Paddack has allowed four or more runs four times, but he's limited opponents to two runs or less in the other three starts in that span. He's at a 5.25 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 67:15 K:BB through 73.2 innings over 14 starts this year, so inconsistency is just part of the deal for the right-hander. He's projected to make his next start in a rematch at Oakland. Rotowire.com Today, 8:49 pm

    • Grabs save in Game 1
Duran retired the only batter he faced to earn the save in a 6-2 win over the Athletics in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader.

Advice: Cole Sands left two runners on with two outs, but Duran was able to get Abraham Toro to ground out to end the contest. This was Duran's first save in five appearances, though he added a hold and two wins in that span. The closer is up to 11 saves, four holds, a 3.60 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 17:8 K:BB over 20 innings this year. Rotowire.com Today, 8:32 pm

    • Throwing side sessions
Gilbreath (shoulder/elbow) completed two bullpen sessions during the Rockies' recent road trip in St. Louis and Minnesota that ran from June 6 to 12, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Gilbreath was expected to throw another bullpen session during the Rockies' current homestand before the club decides whether he's ready to take the next step in his rehab program: facing hitters. The southpaw reliever is working his way back from Tommy John surgery and had previously made a rehab appearance with Triple-A Albuquerque on April 23 before being pulled off the assignment after experiencing shoulder discomfort. He could be ready to resume the rehab assignment by the end of June if he avoids any further snags in his recovery while he continues the ramp-up process. Rotowire.com Today, 8:27 pm

    • Enters double figures in saves
Phillips picked up the save Sunday against Kansas City, allowing one walk with no strikeouts across a scoreless ninth inning.

Advice: Phillips corralled his second save since being reinstated from the 15-day IL on May 31, increasing his season total to 10 saves. The 29-year-old hasn't allowed a hit in three of his four appearances in June but was tagged for three runs in a June 6 outing against the Pirates. On the year, Phillips owns a 1.93 ERA with 21 strikeouts across 18.2 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 8:02 pm
    • Griffin Jax closes out Athletics in nightcap
Griffin Jax picked up his sixth save of the season on Sunday night, working a scoreless ninth inning against the Athletics to preserve a one-run advantage.

Advice: The 29-year-old right-hander got the call after Jhoan Duran closed out the first game of the doubleheader earlier in the afternoon. He did allow a one-out single to JJ Bleday that put the tying run on base, but battled back to get Miguel Andujar on a fly ball to center field and Tyler Soderstrom on strikes to end it. Jax has been a key cog in the Twins’ bullpen this season, posting a 2.30 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and a 43/8 K/BB ratio (31 1/3 innings) while recording six saves and three victories. Rotoworld Today, 7:56 pm

    • Chris Paddack hit hard in no-decision on Sunday
Chris Paddack was hit hard in a no-decision against the Athletics on Sunday night, surrendering five runs on five hits in only 2 1/3 innings.

Advice: Paddack also walked a batter in the ballgame and didn’t record a single strikeout. Twice the Twins staked him to early leads in this one, and both times he gave it right back the following inning. The A’s scratched out three runs against him in the second inning, then JJ Bleday and Tyler Soderstrom tagged him for solo homers to chase him from the game in the third. The 28-year-old right-hander got just two swings and misses on 46 pitches in the game, posting a CSW of 24 percent. He’ll try to improve upon his 5.25 ERA and 1.41 WHIP when he squares off against these same Athletics in Oakland on Saturday. Rotoworld Today, 7:50 pm

    • Throws five frames
Montas allowed three runs on four hits and three walks over five-plus innings in a no-decision Sunday. He struck out five during the loss to Milwaukee.

Advice: Montas rolled through four shutout frames before the Brewers finally pushed a run home in the fifth inning. He was removed after putting two straight runners on base to begin the sixth and was charged with both after Willy Adames launched a three-run homer. Montas took a no-hitter into the seventh inning against the Rockies on June 4 but has since been tagged with seven runs in just 6.1 frames over his last two starts. He now owns a 4.62 ERA with a 49:26 K:BB through 13 starts. Montas' next start is lined up to be at home against Boston. Rotowire.com Today, 7:48 pm
