      Advice: The 34-year-old outfielder capped a seven-run eruption for the Blue Jays in the third inning when he drove a Brayan Bello slider into the right-center field bullpen at Fenway Park. Springer is having the worst season of his career by a wide margin -- Tuesday's long ball snapped a 17-game homer drought, and it highlighted his first multi-hit performance since June 3. The outfielder has gone 8-for-20 (.400) with six extra-base hits over his last five games. He slumped early in June but has rebounded to get his slash line to .255/.302/.435 with six homers, 26 RBI, 28 runs scored and five stolen bases over 215 plate appearances this year.       George Springer went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run in a 9-4 win over the Red Sox on Tuesday.

      Advice: It was Springer’s sixth home run of the season and first since June 4th. Springer only has three home runs since April 24th, so we’re not looking at a power surge here. It’s also Springer’s first multi-hit game since June 3rd. It’s certainly nice to see, but the 34-year-old is still just 13-for-78 (.167) in June so we’ll need to see a few more games like this before we believe he’s figuring things out.       Carpenter (back) took swings off a tee Monday and participated in throwing/running drills Tuesday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

      Advice: The 26-year-old was shut down in late May due to a lumbar spine stress fracture, but he's now back to taking part in baseball activities. Carpenter still has significant rehab work to do before being ready for game action, and he'll likely require a minor-league rehab assignment before rejoining the Tigers.       Advice: Buxton has an extra-base hit in each of his last three games. This was his first multi-hit effort since June 13. He's hitting .246 (16-for-65) over 18 games in June, right in line with his .245 batting average for the season. Buxton has added a .702 OPS, five homers, 25 RBI, 26 runs scored, five stolen bases, 11 doubles and three triples across 58 contests.       Byron Buxton homered, doubled and drove in a pair of runs on Sunday afternoon, leading the Twins to a 3-0 victory over the Athletics in Oakland.

      Advice: Buxton opened the scoring in the ballgame with a monstrous 432-foot (112.7 mph EV) solo shot on the first pitch that he saw from Hogan Harris in the second inning. He then laced a run-scoring double into center field in the seventh inning that extended the Twins’ lead to 2-0.
