Berrios' struggles with the long ball aren't particularly new, as the 30-year-old has surrendered a round tripper in seven consecutive starts and has yielded multiple homers five times this season. However, there was a silver lining for Sunday's start, with Berrios setting a season high in strikeouts. He's on track to face the Diamondbacks in Arizona next weekend.       Jose Berrios piled up 10 strikeouts over six innings of four-run baseball in a no-decision against the Mariners on Sunday afternoon in Seattle.

      Advice: Overall, Berrios scattered seven hits on the afternoon while issuing one base on balls. All of the damage done against him came via the long ball, with Victor Robles launching a solo homer in the third inning and Mitch Garver crushing a three-run shot in the fifth. Berrios got 13 whiffs on 98 pitches in the ballgame, posting a CSW of 31 percent. He now holds a 3.76 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and an 87/29 K/BB ratio over 115 innings through his first 19 starts on the season.       Williams (back) is scheduled to throw live batting practice Tuesday at American Family Field, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Williams began throwing off a mound in late June, and it didn't take long for him to be cleared to face live hitters. The right-hander will require a minor-league rehab assignment before being reinstated from the 60-day injured list, though it's unclear how many outings he might need.       Advice: Neris was credited with the save after Luke Little loaded the bases with two outs in the ninth inning. Neris struck out Zach Neto on four pitches to end the threat. This is the second stretch of the season where Neris has avoided giving up a run over five consecutive appearances, with this scoreless streak at 4.1 innings.       Ezequiel Tovar remained hitless for the month of July after going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts against the Royals on Sunday.

      Advice: Tovar was the clear choice to serve as the Rockies’ token All-Star a couple of weeks ago, but he’s been brutal of late, going 6-for-50 with one extra-base hit, one RBI, zero runs scored and a 20/0 K/BB in his last 12 games. It’s dropped his OPS from .808 to .734. Ryan McMahon might now be the best bet to be the Rockies’ All-Star, with Cal Quantrill and last year’s All-Star Game MVP Elias Díaz also in the mix.       Chapman (1-4) blew a save and was tagged with Sunday's loss to the Mets. He allowed two runs on two hits, three walks and two strikeouts in 0.2 innings.

      Advice: Chapman entered with a one-run lead in the ninth but loaded the bases and gave up a go-ahead two-run single to Francisco Lindor. Chapman was erratic with his control as he matched his season-high with three walks and threw 40 pitches, his third-most in an outing in his career. The veteran has been the Pirates closer since David Bednar went down with an oblique injury, but this is now three straight outings in which he gives up at least one run.       Aroldis Chapman walked three batters, allowed two hits and two earned runs in a disastrous ninth inning on Sunday against the Mets. He also struck out two batters.

      Advice: The Mets took some tremendous at bats against Chapman in this ninth inning. Francisco Alvarez walked on eight pitches. Harrison Bader laced a single after seven pitches. Then Jose Iglesias walked after eight pitches and multiple foul balls to load the bases for Francisco Lindor who promptly hit a go-ahead single. All in all, Chapman threw 40 pitches!       Héctor Neris struck out the only batter he faced for a save in a 5-0 game against the Angels on Sunday.

      Advice: Luke Little retired the first two batters in the ninth, only to give up two infield singles and a walk afterwards. That created the save chance for Neris, and Neris fanned Zach Neto to end the game.       Jesse Winker went 2-for-4 with two doubles, a run scored, and an RBI on Sunday against the Cardinals.

      Advice: Winker continues to mash. His two doubles took his season total to 17 and he has six in his last 23 plate appearances.
