    • Kwan (hamstring) could begin rehab assignment soon
Guardians general manager Chris Antonetti told reporters Sunday that the hope is that Steven Kwan (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment in the next 7-10 days.

Advice: Kwan was able to take batting practice Friday and has reportedly made steady progress from the hamstring strain that has sidelined him since the middle of May. The outfielder will likely need to play a handful of MiLB games, but then could be back hitting at the top of the Cleveland lineup around the start of June. Rotoworld 54 minutes ago

    • Extends hitting streak Saturday
Rodriguez went 2-for-5 with a run in a win over the Orioles on Saturday, extending his hitting streak to six games.

Advice: Much like his season as a whole, Rodriguez's night was a bit of a mixed bag, as he also struck out in his other three plate appearances. Nevertheless, the talented outfielder now boasts a .417 average (10-for-24) during his aforementioned six-game streak, although eight of those hits have been singles. Rodriguez's .269 season average is solid enough, but both his .318 on-base percentage and .330 slugging percentage are notably behind his career norms. Rotowire.com 58 minutes ago
    • Knee remains bothersome
Santander is out of the lineup Sunday against the Mariners due to soreness and swelling in his left knee, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Advice: The 29-year-old served as Baltimore's designated hitter the past two days after he suffered a bruised knee Wednesday, and he aggravated the injury while running the bases. Santander said running in the outfield remains a bit of an issue, so he could be limited to DH duties for a few days as he gets back to full strength. Rotowire.com Today, 8:29 am

    • Anthony Santander resting Sunday vs. Mariners
Anthony Santander is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Mariners.

Advice: Santander did have a knee injury last week, but this appears to just be a day of rest for the outfielder. Austin Hays is starting against right-hander George Kirby and hitting sixth. Rotoworld Today, 7:50 am

    • Out of lineup Sunday
Santander is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against Seattle, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Santander started the last two games at designated hitter coming off the knee injury suffered Wednesday. The veteran outfielder will get a break Sunday as Baltimore rounds out their series with the Mariners, and it appears to just be a maintenance day since there's been no reports that he aggravated the injury. • Comes away with no-decision
Crawford allowed a run on six hits and two walks while striking out five over 5.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Cardinals on Saturday.

Advice: Nolan Gorman's second-inning solo shot was the only run on Crawford's line, but he was an out short of a quality start. It was still a good showing from the 28-year-old, who allowed a season-high four earned runs in his previous start versus the Rays. Crawford has given up one run or fewer in six of his 10 starts this season, pitching to a 2.17 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 57:18 K:BB over 58 innings this season. His next start is projected to be at home versus the Brewers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:38 pm

    • Kutter Crawford allows one run in no-decision
Kutter Crawford only allowed one run over 5 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Cardinals on Saturday.

Advice: Crawford pitched well, but so did his pitching counterpart Miles Mikolas, so there’s no W for the 28-year-old. Crawford bounced back nicely from a shaky start against the Ray on Monday, and in the process he lowers his ERA to a strong 2.17. There was reason to believe Crawford could help fantasy rosters, but no one could have seen this coming. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:08 pm

    • Julio Rodríguez collects two hits in win over O’s
Julio Rodríguez went 2-for-4 and scored a run as the Mariners rallied to beat the Orioles on Saturday evening in Baltimore.

Advice: Rodríguez got the Mariners’ first hit on the day by hustling out an infield single off of Grayson Rodriguez in the sixth inning. He then reached on another infield knock to start the eighth inning, and wound up scoring the go-ahead run on an RBI double by Cal Raleigh. The 23-year-old superstar’s bat has shown signs of life this week, but he’s still hitting a disappointing .271/.320/.331 with only two homers, 13 RBI and nine stolen bases on the season. • Expected back Tuesday
The Cubs expect to reinstate Swanson (knee) from the injured list Tuesday, Patrick Mooney of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Swanson took live batting practice Friday for the first time since landing on the injured list May 10 with a right knee injury, and he appears to be trending toward a return shortly after the minimum 10 days. He will reclaim his role as Chicago's everyday shortstop once he returns, though the 30-year-old infielder had gone just 1-for-18 with a solo home run in his last six games prior to landing on the IL.
