      Advice: De La Cruz produced his fifth three-hit effort of the season Monday. He has multi-hit games in three of his last four and a stolen base in three straight contests. The 22-year-old now has 37 steals through 72 games this season, which puts him on pace to reach 80 thefts by the end of the campaign.       Elly De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with his 37th stolen base of the season on Monday in the Reds’ loss to the Pirates.

      Advice: De La Cruz was one of the few bright spots in this one as Cincinnati’s offense was almost completely shut down by Pirates rookie ace Paul Skenes into the late innings of the first meeting between the two division rivals this year. The 22-year-old middle infielder remains on pace to steal roughly 80 bases this season as he’s picked it up on the bases recently, notching at least one theft in three straight contests.       Yoshida (hand) is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Blue Jays.

      Advice: Yoshida was lifted from Sunday's 9-3 win over the Yankees in the seventh inning after being hit on the hand by a pitch, but his removal might have been precautionary more than anything. According to Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald, the lefty-hitting Yoshida's absence from the lineup Monday is a pre-planned decision, as the Blue Jays are bringing a lefty (Yusei Kikuchi) to the hill, and the Red Sox wanted to give outfielder Tyler O'Neill a day off from playing defense and instead use him as a designated hitter.       Crawford (3-6) allowed three runs on three hits and a walk while striking out nine over six innings to earn the win Sunday over the Yankees.

      Advice: Crawford had given up at least four runs in five of his last six starts, but he was able to turn in a strong performance Sunday. He allowed solo home runs to Aaron Judge and Jose Trevino, but Crawford's nine strikeouts were a season high, and he snapped a four-start losing streak. The right-hander is at a 3.54 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 88:26 K:BB through 86.1 innings over 15 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start on the road in Cincinnati.       Advice: Lowe collected two hits, including his fourth round-tripper of the season. It was the second time in three games and fourth time this month Lowe has collected two hits in a game. The veteran second baseman struggled initially after missing more than a month with an oblique injury, but he has turned things up a bit since the calendar shifted to June, batting .267 with three homers, 11 RBI, seven runs and a steal over 45 at-bats through 12 games this month.     • Kutter Crawford strikes out nine in win over Yanks
      Kutter Crawford racked up nine strikeouts over six innings of three-run baseball in a victory over the Yankees on Sunday night.

      Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander allowed just three hits and one walk on the night. He served up a solo homer to Aaron Judge in the opening inning, then kept the Yankees’ offense completely at bay until Jose Trevino crushed a solo homer in the sixth inning. They scratched out another run in the sixth as Anthony Volpe scampered home on a wild pitch with two outs in the inning. Crawford generated 16 swings and misses on 84 pitches in the ballgame — nine on his sweeper — while posting a terrific CSW of 39 percent.       Advice: De La Cruz stuffed the stat sheet with a terrific performance Sunday, headlined by his solo homer in the eighth inning. He's up to 12 long balls with 36 steals this season. He went six straight games without a stolen base to begin the month but now has four over his last eight appearances.       Wheeler (8-4) suffered the loss Sunday, allowing eight runs on nine hits and two walks over 4.1 innings against the Orioles. He struck out four.

      Advice: It was a long day for Wheeler, who allowed four homers after having previously allowed only six long balls over his first 14 starts this season. The eight earned runs allowed matched a career high for Wheeler, who hadn't given up that many in a start since 2018. Sunday's poor effort raised his ERA from 2.16 to 2.84. Wheeler had won his previous eight decisions prior to Sunday's loss, which dropped him to 8-4 on the season. He'll look to get back on track during his next start, currently slated to take place next weekend when the Diamondbacks come to Philly for a rematch of last season's NLCS.
