    • Keeps up power surge
Kwan went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 6-5 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Kwan is up to a career-high seven homers this season, and three of them have come in his last five games. The outfielder has logged seven multi-hit efforts over his last 11 contests as well. The power probably won't last, as Kwan remains focused on making smart contact. He's at a stellar .390/.448/.575 slash line with 23 RBI, 46 runs scored and three stolen bases over 49 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:38 pm

    • Escapes with save
Scott allowed two hits and a walk in a scoreless inning Sunday, striking out one and earning a save over the Mariners.

Advice: Scott loaded the bases with two outs but managed to finish off the 6-4 win unscathed. He tossed 16 of 22 pitches for strikes and notched his first save since Jun 11. He blew his last save chance June 13 but has since turned in five straight scoreless innings. Scott has nine saves with a 1.64 ERA and a 35:23 K:BB through 33 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:39 pm
    • Throws eight shutout innings
Lopez (7-6) allowed two hits and one walk while striking out 14 over eight shutout innings to earn the win Sunday over the Athletics.

Advice: Lopez retired the first 17 batters he faced before Lawrence Butler's sixth-inning single. This was Lopez's first scoreless outing of the season as well as his longest start, and the 14 strikeouts were a season high. He'd given up 14 runs over 13 innings across his first three starts in June. Even with this gem, Lopez has a 5.11 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 101:19 K:BB through 88 innings across 16 starts this year. Considering he's posted a career-worst 1.6 HR/9, it's likely a fair amount of his struggles have come from bad luck with the long ball, as the rest of his underlying numbers are in line with his usual level of performance. Lopez is lined up to make his next start at Seattle. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:59 pm

    • Pablo López strikes out 14 in victory over A’s
Pablo López delivered his finest start of the season on Sunday, racking up 14 strikeouts over eight innings of shutout baseball in a victory over the Athletics.

Advice: López allowed just two hits — both of them singles — and one walk on the brilliant afternoon. The 28-year-old hurler bounced back in a huge way after being shelled by the Rays his last time out, looking like the star hurler that we saw dominating on a nightly basis for the Twins during the 2023 campaign. He piled up 19 swings and misses on 102 pitches in the contest — 10 of those on his fastball alone — while posting a CSW of 31 percent. He’ll see if he can build off of this start and further improve upon his 5.11 ERA and 1.17 WHIP when he takes the mound against the Mariners in Seattle on Saturday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:18 pm

    • Tanner Scott stays red-hot with save
Tanner Scott earned the save Sunday over the Mariners after allowing two hits and a walk. He also struck out one batter.

Advice: This was a shaky save for Scott as the Mariners put the tying run in scoring position. Luckily, Otto Lopez snagged a line drive off the bat of Julio Rodríguez that would have tied the game. Scott’s ERA sank to a minuscule 1.64 with this outing. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:25 pm
    • Out of lineup Sunday
Raleigh is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

Advice: Raleigh will begin Sunday's game in the dugout after going 1-for-8 with one RBI over the first two games of the series. Mitch Garver will start behind home plate and bat seventh against Miami right-hander Kyle Tyler. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:35 am

    • Back in lineup Sunday
Rodriguez is starting in center field and batting third in Sunday's game against Miami.

Advice: Rodriguez received a scheduled day off Saturday, but he's back for the series finale Sunday. On the season, he's batting .264/.313/.352 with seven home runs and 29 RBI over 329 plate appearances while stealing 16 bases. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:32 am

    • Sitting Sunday
Lowe (toe) is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Lowe will sit for the series finale Sunday after sustaining a broken pinky toe on a hit-by-pitch in the first inning of Saturday's 4-3 loss to Pittsburgh. Lowe isn't expected to be placed on the IL and will be available to pinch hit Sunday, per Topkin. Richie Palacios will start at second base Sunday and bat fifth against Pirates right-hander Paul Skenes. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:18 am

    • Brandon Lowe sitting out Sunday with fractured toe
Brandon Lowe is not in the lineup for Sunday’s series finale against the Pirates.

Advice: The positive news here is that Lowe hasn’t been placed on the injured list yet after suffering a fractured right pinky toe during Saturday’s game when he was hit by a pitch. The 29-year-old second baseman is day-to-day for now. There should be some clarity on his status in a couple days, if not sooner, depending on whether he’s feeling well enough to return.
