    • Ranger Suárez trending towards starting in London
Ranger Suárez (thumb) played catch on Tuesday without any issues or limitations.

Advice: Phillies manager Rob Thomson told reporters Suárez is slated to throw a bullpen session on Wednesday and is trending towards taking the ball this weekend in London against the Mets. The 28-year-old southpaw is reportedly feeling much better of late after being hit by a comebacker last Saturday against the Cardinals. X-rays came back negative and it looks like he’ll be ready to take the ball this weekend. Rotoworld Today, 1:42 pm

    • Still on track for London start
Suarez (hand) played catch without any apparent issues Tuesday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Advice: He gave a thumbs up to reporters afterward and Phillies manager Rob Thomson said of Suarez that "it looks good so far." Suarez will throw a bullpen session Wednesday, and assuming that goes well he's expected to be cleared to start against the Mets this weekend in London. The lefty had to depart his last outing Saturday versus the Cardinals after being struck on the pitching hand by a comebacker. Rotowire.com Today, 1:06 pm

    • Playing time trending down
Mullins is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Mullins has now been out of the lineup for three of the last four games, and all of them have been against right-handed pitching. He's hitless across his previous five contests, dragging his season line down to .181/.225/.319. Colton Cowser will again be in center field, while Austin Hays handles left. • Swipes ninth bag
Lindor went 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a stolen base in Monday's win over the Nationals.

Advice: Hitting leadoff against Washington lefty MacKenzie Gore, Lindor got right back up after seeing an 11-game hitting streak snapped Sunday. The veteran shortstop has swiped three bags over the last five contests, giving him nine steals on the season, and over his last 15 games, he's slashing .339/.397/.516 with five doubles, two homers, seven runs and eight RBI as he puts a sluggish start to the season behind him. • Set for bullpen session Wednesday
Manager Rob Thomson said Monday that Suarez (hand) will play catch Tuesday and throw a bullpen session Wednesday before the Phillies decide on the left-hander's next step, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Suarez was forced out after just two innings in his most recent start against the Cardinals on Saturday, when he took a 106.1 mile-per-hour line drive off his pitching hand. X-rays cleared Suarez of any structural damage, but he's still dealing with some bruising and swelling that could present some difficulty for the southpaw in commanding his full arsenal. The upcoming bullpen session will represent an important test for Suarez in showing the Phillies' coaching and training staffs that the injury won't affect his pitching. At this stage, Thomson said that Suarez remains in play for his next turn through the rotation, which falls during the Phillies' two-game series with the Mets in London this weekend. • Sitting against righty again
Mullins is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Mullins' grasp on a regular role in the Baltimore outfield could be loosening; he'll find himself on the bench against a right-handed starting pitcher (Kevin Gausman) for the second time in three games. Dating back to May 24, Mullins has produced just one hit in 20 at-bats, bringing his season-long slash line down to an abysmal .181/.225/.319 over 178 plate appearances. With Mullins taking a seat, Colton Cowser will cover center field while Austin Hays cracks the lineup in left field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:38 am

    • Productive weekend series
Diaz went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI on Sunday against the Orioles.

Advice: Diaz had a strong weekend series thanks to some timely hits. Across the three games, he went just 3-for-11 but drove in four runs and also worked two free passes. Diaz has gone just 7-for-44 across his last 13 starts, though he's striking out at only a 10.6 percent clip in that span, meaning his numbers should start to tick back up. • Logs three hits in loss
Rutschman went 3-for-5 with one RBI in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Rays.

Advice: Rutschman had a brief cold spell a couple of weeks ago, but he's bounced back well. He's hit safely in six straight games, going 9-for-25 (.360) in that span. The catcher is slashing .304/.342/.473 with 10 home runs, 38 RBI, 30 runs scored and one stolen base over 54 contests this season. He was given more regular rest in late May, which may help him stay fresher as the Orioles enter a busy stretch of their schedule. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:51 pm

    • Coughs up three runs
Cortes allowed three runs on seven hits over 4.1 innings in a no-decision Sunday. He struck out seven during the win over San Francisco.

Advice: Cortes gave up a run in each of the second, third and fourth frames Sunday. The latter two were via solo homers by Heliot Ramos and Casey Schmitt. Cortes has been tagged with 10 home runs in 13 starts and has already given up multiple long balls in four outings. Sunday's start was his second shortest of the year, and he's now failed to complete six innings in four of his last five appearances. Cortes owns a 3.46 ERA and a 74:15 K:BB through 75.1 frames. His next start is lined up to be at home against the Dodgers. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:57 pm
