    • Held out again Monday
Polanco (hamstring) remains out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: The Mariners have not yet made a roster move with Polanco, but he will miss a sixth straight start Monday with a right hamstring issue. Josh Rojas will handle second base while Luis Urias plays third base. Rotowire.com 49 minutes ago

    • Shaky results in no-decision
Montgomery allowed four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out three in six innings Sunday against the Tigers. He did not factor into the decision.

Advice: Montgomery surrendered a third inning home run to Spencer Torkelson and the Tigers got to him for additional runs in the fifth and sixth. He came back out to begin the seventh and allowed a leadoff walk before exiting the game for good and that run would come around to score. He managed to reach six innings for the fourth time in six starts but has still not struck out more than four batters in any of those four outings. Though a small sample size, Montgomery's strikeout rate this year is on pace to be the lowest of his career and he's also walked multiple batters in four straight starts. The 31-year-old owns a 4.98 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 20:11 K:BB in 34.1 innings. He lines up for a home meeting with the Marlins his next time on the mound. Rotowire.com Today, 6:53 am
    • Two hits, steal in win
Mullins went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Mariners.

Advice: This was Mullins' first multi-hit game since April 21. Over the 19 contests in between, he went a poor 6-for-63 (.095) with two steals and three RBI. Mullins has started to lose playing time, with Colton Cowser being the main beneficiary in center field. For the season, Mullins is slashing just .194/.241/.351 with seven steals, six home runs, 20 RBI, 17 runs scored and three doubles over 145 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:31 pm

    • IL decision likely imminent
Polanco (hamstring), who was out of the lineup for a fifth straight game Sunday, did some explosive running drills before the series finale against the Orioles but could still be placed on the injured list in coming days, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Despite Polanco upping his activity level Sunday, manager Scott Servais confirmed the veteran infielder is still not moving around at full speed. As such, the Mariners could make a decision on whether to place Polanco on the IL as early as Monday when the team opens a four-game series against the Yankees. Servais conceded Sunday that Polanco was feeling better and has progressed to swinging a bat without discomfort, but given the lingering nature of hamstring injuries, an IL stint might still be necessary to ensure a full recovery. • Clubs homer
Nimmo went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored during Sunday's 7-3 win over the Marlins.

Advice: After going 0-for-12 during the Mets' series against Philadelphia, Nimmo has started the Marlins series 2-for-8 (.250) with a double, a two-run home run and five total runs scored. Nimmo's homer Sunday came off Anthony Bender in the ninth inning and marked the outfielder's seventh of the season. In 193 plate appearances, Nimmo owns a .777 OPS. • Picks up fourth steal
Reynolds went 1-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base and one run scored in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Reynolds has swiped two bags over his last three games, and he's hit safely in five straight contests (6-for-21). The outfielder isn't one to run a lot -- he had a career-high 12 steals in 145 games last season, so he's roughly on track to match that number in 2024 after picking up his fourth theft of the campaign Sunday. Reynolds has added a .254/.341/.407 slash line with five home runs, 20 RBI, 18 runs scored, 12 doubles and a triple through 48 contests overall. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:27 pm

    • Jordan Montgomery allows four runs in no-decision
Jordan Montgomery pitched decently in a no-decision against the Tigers on Sunday afternoon, giving up four runs on five hits over his six-plus innings of work.

Advice: The left-hander struck out three batters on the afternoon while issuing a pair of free passes. He served up a solo homer to Spencer Torkelson in the third inning, then kept the Tigers at bat until an RBI single by Javier Baez in the fifth. They tacked on another run in the sixth inning, then Montgomery issued a leadoff walk in the seventh before exiting, and that run came around to score as well. He got eight whiffs on 92 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 25 percent. He’ll look to improve upon his 4.98 ERA and 1.37 WHIP when he toes the slab against the Marlins on Saturday. • Brandon Nimmo homers in win
Brandon Nimmo went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run, walk, and two runs scored in the Mets win over the Marlins on Sunday.

Advice: Newly minted three-hitter Brandon Nimmo is having a power renaissance with five home runs in his last 17 games. Hitting third will give him a lot more RBI chances compared to when he hit leadoff. The Mets have scored seven and nine runs in the two games since their lineup shakeup, so the new order may hold moving forward.

    • Cedric Mullins knocks in two, steals base in win
Cedric Mullins went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a steal against the Mariners on Sunday.

Advice: Mullins snapped a hitless skid with a bunt single Saturday and today had two clean singles, both of which knocked in runs. He’s still batting just .194/.241/.351, but this seems like progress, and he has a nice schedule coming up against the Cardinals and White Sox this week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:54 pm
