    • Jackson Merrill goes hitless Wednesday in victory
Jackson Merrill went 0-for-4 with a strikeout on Wednesday in the Padres’ win over the Reds.

Advice: Don’t look now, but Merrill has gone 0-for-19 in six contests over the last week. The 21-year-old top prospect looked extremely impressive at the outset of the season in his Padres debut, but has hit a frosty stretch at the dish of late, which also coincides with a nagging groin issue that he’s been playing through. It’s entirely possible he’s not close to 100 percent at the moment, which is impacting his on-field results. Rotoworld 32 minutes ago

    • Not facing lefty
Carter is out of Tuesday's lineup against the Nationals.

Advice: Carter has now sat out each of the Rangers' last three games against left-handed pitching and seems to be falling into a platoon. Wyatt Langford will draw the start in left while Davis Wendzel will handle DH duties Tuesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:01 pm

    • Jackson Merrill not in lineup Monday vs. Reds
Jackson Merrill is not in the starting lineup for Monday’s game against the Reds.

Advice: Merrill returned to the lineup from his groin injury on Saturday and also played Sunday, so this appears to be a day of maintenance for the 21-year-old. Jose Azocar will play center and hit eighth Monday. Rotoworld Monday, 3:52 pm

    • Gets day off
Rosario is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Brewers.

Advice: Rosario is on the bench for the first time since April 13, breaking a stretch of 14 consecutive starts during which he slashed .351/.373/.509 with two home runs, two stolen bases, nine RBI and seven runs. He's seen action mostly in right field and second base during that time and should continue to maintain a near-everyday role so long as he remains productive at the dish. Rotowire.com Monday, 3:09 pm

    • Amed Rosario gets Monday off vs. Brewers
Amed Rosario is not in the lineup for Monday’s game against the Brewers.

Advice: Rosario has been excellent to begin the year with a .340 average over 97 at-bats, but the Rays will give him a day off Monday against the Brew Crew. Niko Goodrum gets the start at second base while Rosario rests. Rotoworld Monday, 1:43 pm

    • Getting first start in left field
Judge will start in left field and bat third in Monday's game in Baltimore.

Advice: Judge received some reps in left field during spring training, but this is the first time he's made a start at the position in a regular season game since 2016 when he was with Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes-Barre. He could see additional action in left field during the series against the Orioles while Alex Verdugo is on paternity leave. Trent Grisham is getting a rare start in center field Monday. • Goes deep again Sunday
Judge went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, three RBI and a walk in Sunday's 15-5 win over the Brewers.

Advice: Judge launched a solo shot off Tobias Myers in the top of the first inning, later adding two more base knocks, including a two-RBI single in the fifth inning. The homer was his sixth of the season and he's now gone deep in back-to-back games and three times in the last five contests overall. After a slow start to the season, Judge is batting .211 with six home runs, 18 RBI, 12 runs scored and a stolen base over 109 at-bats in 29 games. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:00 pm

    • Out of Sunday's lineup
Carter is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

Advice: Carter has a .640 OPS over his past 11 contests and will head to the bench for Sunday's series finale. Wyatt Langford will man left field while Andrew Knizner serves as the designated hitter. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:14 am

    • Not starting Sunday
Arozarena is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Arozarena started the previous nine games but will receive a breather after he went 4-for-34 with 13 strikeouts during that span. Harold Ramirez will shift to left field while Austin Shenton starts at designated hitter. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:13 am
