      Angels activated INF/OF Luis Rengifo from the 10-day injured list.

      Advice: The Angels tried to keep Rengifo on the active roster, but after he missed five games, they decided to put him on the injured list last Thursday. A week later, he’s returning to the fold and should likely remain an everyday player for the Angels given how banged up their lineup is.       The Angels activated Rengifo (illness) from the 10-day injured list Thursday.

      Advice: Rengifo missed the last week and a half with a viral illness which resulted in painful blisters on his feet. He's recovered now, though, and should be back in the lineup when the Angels return to action Friday in Texas against the Rangers.     • Continues strong offensive stretch
      Doyle went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional run and a walk Wednesday in an 8-0 victory against San Diego.

      Advice: Doyle's second-inning solo shot put Colorado on the board, and he crossed the plate again in the third following a one-out walk. The center fielder has reached base safely in eight straight contests and is batting .333 (9-for-27) with two homers, five RBI, nine runs and four stolen bases over that stretch.     • Brenton Doyle helps to power Rockies past Padres
      Brenton Doyle clobbered a two-run homer on Wednesday, helping to power the Rockies to victory over the Padres in San Diego.

      Advice: The dynamic 26-year-old outfielder opened the scoring in the contest with a 431-foot (108.5 mph EV) solo shot off of Michael King in the top half of the second inning. He also worked a walk in the third inning and raced around to score on a two-run single by Jacob Stallings.     • Jurickson Profar swipes base in loss on Wednesday
      Jurickson Profar singled and stole a base on Wednesday afternoon as the Padres were shut out by the Rockies.

      Advice: Profar smacked a leadoff single off of Austin Gomber in the fourth inning and swiped second base, but the Padres couldn’t cash him in from there.       Profar went 1-for-1 with three walks and a run scored in Wednesday's loss to the Rockies.

      Advice: Profar notched a base hit in the fourth and worked walks in his other three plate appearances. It's the first time since June 29, 2022 that he's walked three times in one game. Profar has been one of the biggest surprises in baseball thus far and is now 10th in the majors with a .324 batting average and fourth with a .416 OBP after Tuesday night.       Rengifo (illness) fielded grounders Monday and could return from the injured list when eligible Friday, per MLB.com.

      Advice: Rengifo came down with a viral infection in early May and landed on the IL when the illness caused painful blisters on his feet. His ability to take grounders Monday is a good indication that he's doing better, and there's a chance he could spend the minimum amount of time on the injured list. Upon his return, Rengifo should slide back into a starting role at third base -- Niko Goodrum, Luis Guillorme and Cole Tucker have been filling in at the hot corner in his stead.       Doyle went 0-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored Monday against the Padres.

      Advice: Doyle was unable to extend a modest five-game hitting streak, but he was still impactful by tallying his eighth stolen base of the year. He's also stolen a base in each of his last four games, displaying a significant increase in aggressiveness on the basepaths.       Profar went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Rockies.

      Advice: Profar has hit safely in eight of 11 games in May, going 13-for-40 (.325) with three homers and 10 RBI this month. The 31-year-old is slashing .320/.402/.517 with seven long balls, 29 RBI, 23 runs scored, eight doubles and two stolen bases over 44 contests. Profar's best season in the majors was the abbreviated 2020 campaign, and he hit just nine homers with 46 RBI over 125 games last year -- he'll likely post stronger marks in 2024, but his current pace will be tough to sustain.
