      Kwan (hamstring) will have his rehab assignment transferred to Triple-A Columbus beginning Tuesday, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Kwan went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run and a walk over two games with High-A Lake County over the weekend. The outfielder is expected to play six-to-eight innings in left field Tuesday.       Goldschmidt went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 3-1 loss to the Reds.

      Advice: Goldschmidt has homered three times over his last two games, though it's still too early to say he's completely out of the woods for his slow start to the campaign. He's shown some encouraging signs, hitting safely in all but one of his last 14 games while going 18-for-61 (.295) in that span. The first baseman is up to seven homers, 22 RBI, 26 runs scored and three stolen bases with a .222/.297/.359 slash line over 50 contests this season.       Paul Goldschmidt hit his third homer in two days to give the Cardinals their only run Monday against the Reds.

      Advice: Goldschmidt didn’t crush this one; technically, it wasn’t even a hard-hit ball at 94.3 mph. He hit it to the right spot, though. This little outburst has led to calls that Goldschmidt is back, but we want to see the K rate drop some before we buy into that.       Cody Bellinger went 2-for-4 against the Brewers on Monday.



      Advice: It was a quiet day for the Cubs offense as they could only muster one run. Bellinger, however, has been hot at the plate since a slow start early this season. He’s 31-for-104 (.298) since April 13th.

      According to Guardians manager Stephen Vogt, Steven Kwan will start in left field for Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday.

      Advice: Vogt said the plan is for Kwan to play 6-8 innings in the field. If Kwan were to do that and come out feeling good, he might only need one or two more starts before the Guardians feel good about activating him from the IL.       Austin Riley (side) is back in the lineup for Monday’s game against the Nationals.

      Advice: Riley missed 13 straight games with a side injury, but the Braves opted not to put him on the IL. With Ronald Acuna Jr. now out for the season, the Braves are certainly ecstatic to bring Riley back into the fold.       Advice: Sean Murphy is making his long-awaited return from the injured list Monday, so d'Arnaud will begin this one on the bench. It's likely that Murphy won't shoulder too big of a workload initially, so expect d'Arnaud to continue seeing plenty of reps.       Braves placed OF Ronald Acuña Jr. (knee) on the 10-day IL.

      Advice: Acuña Jr. was diagnosed with a torn ACL last night and will be out for the season. It’s a brutal blow for the Braves and Acuña Jr., who has now torn the ACL in both of his knees. The Braves called up J.P. Martinez to take Acuña Jr.'s spot in on the active roster, but Adam Duvall will likely see an uptick in playing time until the Braves maybe make a move for an outfielder.
