      Bryson Stott, who didn’t start Monday, went 0-for-4 in the loss to the Giants on Tuesday.

      Advice: Stott has run extremely hot and cold this season, posting a .559 OPS over his first 25 games and a 1.242 OPS over his subsequent 18 games. Now he’s back in another drought, having gone 2-for-28 in his last eight games. The good news is that he’s struck out just three times during that span.     • Luis Castillo delivers eighth quality start
      Luis Castillo threw six innings of two-run ball against the Astros on Tuesday.

      Advice: It’s the fourth straight start in which Castillo has allowed exactly two runs. He hasn’t given up more than two earned runs since his third start of the year on April 8, and his ERA is down to 3.28. He’ll face the Angels next. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:01 pm
       
    • Gets out of jam for ninth save
      Duran picked up the save Tuesday against Kansas City, allowing two hits and no walks with a strikeout over one scoreless inning.

      Advice: Duran surrendered a leadoff double to Salvador Perez and then a single to Adam Frazier, putting runners on the corners with no outs in the ninth. However, pinch-runner Dairon Blanco was caught stealing second and Duran retired MJ Melendez and Nick Loftin back-to-back to keep the Royals off the scoreboard.       Hector Neris blew his second save of the season in the Cubs’ win over the Brewers on Tuesday.

      Advice: Neris entered the game with a 1-0 lead and recorded two outs to open the bottom of the ninth. He then ran into trouble when he walked Christian Yelich, only to later balk and move Yelich into scoring position. Willy Adames would later single with two strikes to drive in Yelich and for the game into extras.       X-rays on Lindor's left index finger came back negative after he injured it on a bunt attempt during the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Dodgers, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

      Advice: Despite injuring his finger during the first game of Tuesday's action, Lindor was still able to play in the nightcap and go 1-for-4. The 30-year-old shortstop is dealing with a bit of swelling in his finger, so it's possible he sits down for a day or two until the swelling goes down; however, a long-term absence seems unlikely.     • Jhoan Duran picks up eighth save vs. Royals
      Jhoan Duran earned his eighth save of the season in Tuesday’s win over the Royals.

      Advice: Back-to-back hits to kick off the ninth got Duran in trouble early, but he was able to buckle down and retire his remaining batters to earn the win for the Twins, who have now won six of their last seven.       Advice: The positive news here is that X-rays came back negative on Lindor’s finger after he hurt it attempting a bunt during Tuesday’s doubleheader against the Dodgers.       Freddie Freeman went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and three RBI, powering the Dodgers to a 5-2 extra-inning win over the Mets in the front-end of Tuesday’s doubleheader.

      Advice: Freeman followed Mookie Betts’ go-ahead 10th-inning single with a majestic 383-foot missile to right field off Mets reliever Jorge López to give Los Angeles a commanding three-run lead that they wouldn’t relinquish. The 34-year-old also delivered a key run-scoring single in the eighth inning that jump-started the Dodgers’ late-inning rally.
