      Advice: Happ's seventh-inning, three-run homer snapped a 3-3 tie and appeared to give the Cubs a comfortable advantage, but the Giants scored three runs in the ninth to pull out the win. Nonetheless, Happ continued to break out of his recent slump -- over his past three contests, he's gone 6-for-9 with two homers, six RBI and three walks.       Neris (6-2) took the loss and blew a save against the Giants on Monday, allowing three runs (two earned) on one hit and one walk while striking out one batter over one inning.

      Advice: Neris entered in the top of the ninth frame with Chicago leading by two runs. He got one out before Jorge Soler reached base on catcher's interference. Mike Yastrzemski followed with a walk before Thairo Estrada gave San Francisco the lead with a three-run homer. Though Neris retired the following two batters, the damage had been done, and the Cubs weren't able to mount a comeback in the bottom of the frame. The blown save was the fourth of the season for Neris and his third over his past seven chances.       Advice: Gray pitched into the eighth inning for the first time this season and left the game up 4-1, but the bullpen couldn't hold the lead. The four strikeouts were a season low for Gray as he worked fast and efficiently, only needing 84 pitches to record 23 outs. The veteran's ERA now sits at 2.95 with a 1.02 WHIP through 13 starts.       Hector Neris allowed three runs, blew the save and took the loss against the Giants on Monday.

      Advice: The Cubs’ lead evaporated quickly in the ninth inning. With one out, Jorge Soler reached on a catcher interference. After Neris issued a walk to Mike Yastrzemski, Thairo Estrada hit a three-run home run to give the Giants a 7-6 lead. He singled and scored again in the fourth inning before capping off his big day with an RBI double in the fifth. It was Lindor's third four-hit game of the year and first since May 30.
