    • Starts at third base
Duran started at third base and went 2-for-3 an RBI in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Giants.

Advice: Duran entered the lineup with Corey Seager (hamstring) on the bench. Josh Smith, the primary fill-in for Josh Jung (wrist) at third base, moved to shortstop, paving the way for Duran to make his eighth start of the season at the hot corner. He's hit safely in four consecutive games and 11 of the last 13. Seager's injury is not considered serious, but he could need a couple more days, per Kennedi Landry of MLB.com. • Logs first MLB hit
Dunn started in left field and went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Friday's 3-2 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Dunn legged out a double for his first hit in the majors then scored what turned out to be the winning run. He's started in left field twice -- both against left-handers -- since having his contract selected from Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday. Rotowire.com Today, 6:08 am

    • Swats sixth homer
Siri went 2-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run and a second run scored in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Orioles.

Advice: The center fielder got Tampa Bay on the board by taking Cole Irvin deep in the second inning. Siri is heating up at the plate -- over his last 10 games he's slashing .303/.395/.667 with three of his six homers on the season, but his 1-for-4 performance on the basepaths during that stretch is a stark reminder of his inconsistency. • Tyler O’Neill exits Friday with knee discomfort
Tyler O’Neill was removed from Friday’s game against the White Sox due to right knee discomfort.

Advice: O’Neill walked off the field with Boston’s training staff in the third inning of Friday’s contest at Guaranteed Rate Field after experiencing right knee discomfort earlier in the game while catching a routine fly out. The 28-year-old slugger returned earlier this week from the injured list following a nine-game absence due to right knee inflammation. He told reporters afterwards that he’s hopeful this latest incident won’t require another trip to the injured list, but it’s a concerning development that he’s still having knee issues. There should be a decision on his status prior to Saturday’s showdown in Chicago. Rotoworld Today, 4:33 am

    • JJ Bleday crushes walk-off homer vs. Blue Jays
JJ Bleday launched a game-winning homer in the ninth inning on Friday, powering the Athletics to a 2-1 walk-off victory over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Bleday opened the scoring with a run-scoring ground out against Toronto starter Chris Bassitt in the sixth inning before stepping to the plate and delivering a walk-off blast to right field off Blue Jays stopper Chad Green. It was his ninth big fly of the season and wound up being the difference in a low-scoring affair after Oakland’s lineup was silenced by Bassitt over eight frames to open the contest. • Stays hot in win
Ramos went 3-for-5 with one RBI in Friday's 5-2 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Ramos logged multiple hits for the fourth time in the last five games. This was also his this time leading off in that span, and the first time he's been atop the order against a right-handed pitcher (Michael Lorenzen). Ramos is slashing .320/.416/.515 with five home runs, 20 RBI, 12 runs scored and one stolen base over 27 contests. As long as he's swinging a hot bat, it makes sense to have him at leadoff, especially since he's displayed improved plate discipline with a 13.2 percent walk rate this year. • Launches go-ahead homer
Conforto went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk in Friday's 5-2 win over the Rangers.

Advice: The Rangers tied the game at 2-2 in the fifth inning, but Conforto's seventh-inning blast put the Giants ahead for good. The outfielder has slumped since returning from a hamstring injury, going 2-for-14 over four contests, but his long ball Friday could spark his bat. Overall, he's at a .268/.324/.478 slash line with eight homers, 22 RBI, 21 runs scored, seven doubles, one triple and no stolen bases through 42 games. Conforto should continue to see a starting role in left field, though he could be squeezed out of the lineup versus some southpaws to accommodate the red-hot Heliot Ramos. • Delivers walk-off blast
Bleday went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 2-1 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Bleday's blast was the Athletics' fifth hit of the game, but it was enough to earn a walk-off win. The outfielder is batting .294 (10-for-34) over his last nine contests, but this was his first homer since May 24. For the season, he's at a .246/.328/.469 slash line with nine long balls, 23 RBI, 26 runs scored, 18 doubles, three triples and no stolen bases over 65 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:31 pm

    • Jose Siri smashes sixth home run in loss Friday
Jose Siri went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, a walk and a solo home run against the Orioles on Friday.

Advice: The home run was Siri’s sixth of the year. He’s hitting just .197 on the season and can’t be counted on for batting average. Siri his 25 home runs last year, though. He’s one to keep an eye on if he regains that power stroke this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:57 pm
