    • Remains out Sunday
Hoerner (hamstring) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates, Andy Martinez of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Advice: Make it six straight absences for Hoerner, who continues to nurse a sore left hamstring. He was still hoping to avoid the injured list as of Friday, but it's reasonable to think Hoerner to the IL could be the move to accommodate the return of Dansby Swanson (knee) on Tuesday. Nick Madrigal has been serving as the Cubs' primary second baseman in Hoerner's absence. Rotowire.com 54 minutes ago

    • Nico Hoerner (hamstring) remains out Sunday
Nico Hoerner (hamstring) is not in the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Pirates.

Advice: Hoerner is going to miss a sixth straight game while recovering from tightness in his left hamstring. The 27-year-old is considered day-to-day, but a trip to the injured list can’t completely be ruled out. Nick Madrigal is the starting second baseman and will hit seventh against the Pirates on Sunday. Rotoworld 58 minutes ago

    • Extends hitting streak to 17 games
Marte went 1-for-4 with an RBI triple and a run scored in Saturday's loss to the Tigers.

Advice: Marte went down on strikes in each of his first two at-bats before driving in the first run of the game with a one-out triple in the bottom of the sixth. He would come home to score as well on a Joc Pederson single in the following at-bat, though the effort would fall short as Detroit stormed back in the seventh to take the lead. The triple was Marte's second of the season and extended his hitting streak to 17 games. However, he's recorded only one multi-hit game over that stretch and is batting just .246 in May with four homers, 10 RBI and seven runs scored. Rotowire.com Today, 7:00 am

    • Scores twice in win
Freeman went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's win over the Reds.

Advice: Freeman drew a leadoff walk to open the bottom of the fourth and would eventually come home to score the Dodgers' first run of the contest later in the frame on a single from Andy Pages. The star first baseman would add an RBI single in the fourth, along with a leadoff double in the eighth before coming around to score for a second time. Freeman had gone hitless in his previous two games but now has five multi-hit games in May to go along with six RBI and 14 runs scored. He's also tied for fifth in the league in doubles with 13 (Jarren Duran, Ezequiel Tovar, William Contreras). Rotowire.com Today, 6:48 am

    • Freddie Freeman reaches three times in win
Freddie Freeman went 2-for-3 with an RBI single on Saturday, lifting the Dodgers to a 4-0 victory over the Reds.

Advice: Freeman reached base safely in three of his four plate appearances as he continues to find his groove at the dish, batting .302 (16-for-53) with two homers over his last 15 contests. The 34-year-old veteran on-base machine isn’t running much at the moment with just one steal through 48 games, but his plate skills remain elite. Rotoworld Today, 3:49 am

    • Tallies three hits in loss
Abrams went 3-for-5 with a run and an RBI in Saturday's extra-inning loss to Philadelphia.

Advice: Abrams had been in a minor rut coming into Saturday, going 1-for-13 over his previous four games. He broke the skid with his first three-hit performance since April 23 while collecting his first RBI since May 8. Abrams' production has fallen off in May -- he's batting .230 with a 1:14 BB:K this month -- but he's still carrying a solid .271/.330/.494 slash line with seven homers, 21 RBI, 28 runs and eight stolen bases on the season. • Ketel Marte extends hitting streak to 17 in loss
Ketel Marte smacked a run-scoring triple off of Jack Flaherty on Saturday night, but it wasn’t enough to lead the Diamondbacks to victory over the Tigers.

Advice: The 30-year-old second baseman extended his hitting streak to 17 games and broke a scoreless tie with his run-scoring triple off of the Tigers’ right-hander in the sixth inning. He then scored on an RBI single off the bat of Joc Pederson. Marte finished the night 1-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts and is now hitting .287/.333/.525 with nine homers, 25 RBI and one stolen base on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:04 pm

    • Perez drives in two on Saturday
Salvador Perez went 1-for-4 with two RBI against the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: Perez had a two-run single in the first inning that opened the scoring. The 34-year-old backstop has been great this year as he’s hitting .333 with a .949 OPS. His walk percentage is nearly double what it usually is at 7.8 percent and his strikeout percentage of 15 percent would be his lowest since 2015. Still, we can’t expect Perez to keep up this average as his .368 BABIP is 77 points higher than his career .291 BABIP.

    • Abrams has three-hit game Saturday
CJ Abrams went 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI against the Phillies on Saturday.

Advice: Abrams scored the first run of the game on Joey Meneses’ RBI single in the first inning and gave the Nationals a 2-1 lead with an RBI single of his own in the fifth inning. He has struggled since his hot start to the season, but has his average up to .271 after the three hits on Saturday. Abrams is certainly hitting better than he did last season when he hit .245 with less power. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:40 pm
