      Jarren Duran smacked an RBI triple, scored a run and drew a pair of walks as the Red Sox triumphed over the Giants on Wednesday evening at Fenway Park.

      Advice: Duran worked a walk off of Daulton Jefferies in the third inning and came around to score the go-ahead run on an RBI ground out off the bat of Rob Refsnyder. He then plated a run of his own with a two-out RBI triple that chased Jefferies in the fourth inning.       Nico Hoerner went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, and a stolen base on Wednesday in a 1-0 win over the Mets.

      Advice: Hoerner knocked a double in the first inning, then a single in the fifth. He drew a walk in the eighth to reach for a third time and stole second for his second steal of the season. Hoerner has hit out of the leadoff spot for the Cubs over the last two weeks, with both steals coming over that span. The 26-year-old second baseman is hitting .272/.349/.360 with 18 runs scored across 129 plate appearances. Hitting leadoff would help his stolen base rate if he can hold the top spot in the lineup.       Rays manager Kevin Cash said Paredes is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers due to his body and arm "barking a little bit," Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

      Advice: Cash seemed to suggest that Paredes isn't dealing with anything more than general soreness, with the skipper adding that Wednesday was an optimal time to give the third baseman a breather since he'll benefit from a two-day break with the Rays being off Thursday.
